Blue keys layout

The "Blue" keys you are referring to are the embedded numeric keypad that can be activated by pressing the numlock (NumLk) key once. You will notice that the LED (second from the left with the number "1") will come on.

This changes the following keys:
NumLk On NumLk Off
1 J
2 K
3 L
4 U
5 I
6 O
7 7
8 8
9 9
0 M

Pressing the blue Fn key does not affect these keys

I own a Asus k501 laptop and every time I turn it on a screen comes up and says, "Check cable connection! PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM." What can I do about this?

You may want to open up the slot that the hard drive resides in and make sure that it is connected into its socket correctly. If you've done this...you should try:

1. Power the notebook on, and immediately begin tapping F2 to get into the notebook BIOS.
2. In the BIOS use the arrow keys to select the Boot Menu.
3. In the Boot Menu will be "Boot Priority Order" and below that will be a list of devices. The first in the list should be "IDE 0".
4. If "IDE 0" is not the first, use the arrow keys to highlight "IDE 0"
5. Use the designated keys to move "IDE 0" to the top.
6. Press the F10 key and press the enter key to save and reboot the computer.
