Question about Epson Stylus Photo R260 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

We try to print, we see the file in the print cue - it goes from 0 to 1, then it oes back to 0 as if the file had been sent to the printer. However, nothing happens at the printer.

Hi,
can you print a test page from the Epson printer management tool? Can you see the ink levels from the Epson tool? If you can do both, check that you aren't sending the print job to:
a. another local or network printer
b. a pdf creator (acrobat reader type file)
c. OneNote (MS Office tool)
Depending on what system your using for example WinXP or Vista, go to Start/Control Panel/Printers and see what printer is set a the Default. Default will usually shown by a printer with a Green Tick. Make sure your Epson R260 is set to be the Default printer. Right click the R260 and set it to Default Printer.
Ask some more questions of me if needed.
Cheers,
Steve

Cant print from procom screen..print job is sent to the printer (icon in tool bar )..but the printer does not print

This can be a number of reasons, but first check to see if you printer is online. Attempt to print a test page. Instead of PrtScreen, highlight everything on the screen, right click, print and in the printer options print "selection". Try to reboot you computer, if everything in cue starts to print, it's operating system based, if it doesn't it's your printer perhaps. Too many variables to diagnose on a comment board. Unable to delete/cancel print job while it runs-lbp 2900

Hi.

To temporarily delete the print jobs in the cue do the following:

Disconnect printer USB.
Restart printer.
Restart computer.
Access printer cue with printer not connected (get there from control panel)
Clear printer cue.
Connect the printer back.

If the printer cue gets stuck too often, and always with different documents, try reinstalling the printer software.

Regards.

Ginko.

My printer isn't printing but it will scan and copy. It has items in the cue to print but they aren't working they are sitting idle.

First reset the computer and printer.
  • Unplug printer from wall
  • Restart computer
  • Plug printer back in to wall
Try to print now. This commonly occurs when files are stuck/corrupt in the print cue.
Remember
  • Only hit the print button once.
  • If it doesn't print immediately wait.
  • Wait some more
  • Open your printer que (xp Start button>Control panel>printer and faxes> double click on the specific printer.)
Now if this continues, use the above to see if the file is stuck in the cue. Try using a print test page from the printer control panel before anything else.

If the Test page works and your other print doesn't, then it is your application. Print from something else.

If even the test page won't work, then it is your drivers or your supplies are low.

Many of these printers won't work if you are out of ink. There may be a light on the printer flashing and you are out of ink.

I have a problem with t644 indicated 900.00 service rip software before this error printer indicated 960 service.after turn printer off then on error code indicated immediatly

Try this...power off printer. Then if it is a network printer go the to print server and clear all the documents from the print cue. If it is a local printer clear all documents in the local print cue then power the printer back on. Once the printer powers up the error should clear, if it doesn't clear power the unit back off and ensure that all documents have been removed from the print cue then power printer back on. This worked for me on the C782e, x854e and x940e models that I have.

Ribbon mis-cue?

When you have a ribbon mis-cue, first remove the ribbon. Go to the printer driver, printing preferences, calibrate, sensors. Click sesors then send... You should hear 2 beeps. Put you ribbon back in and try to print again.

If you still have the mis-cue it is a belt issue all DTC400's made 2006 and prior have had this belt issue. I don't recommend fixing this yourself, send it to a authorized Fargo repair center. This way it is under warranty.

Printing problem

To delete the file from printer cue, unplug printer, restart computer with printer unplugged, and delete file.

If it still does not work after deleting files, reinstall all printer software using software CD provided with the printer.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file, double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

I had this problem also. After some research I found this was the only way to clear the cue.

Go to Control Panel > Printers > Right click on your Lexmark Printer > Select "Run as Administrator" > select "clear print cue"

It will ask you if you are sure - click yes/ok.

Your print cue will now be clear.

Trying to use task manager will not clear your print cue in the system, only the window notifying you of print cue items.

Unfortunately Vista and the Lexmark 6150 do not get along and this will probably keep happening.

The print Head has gone bad. Not using a printer that often will dry out the print head. The print head is where the ink goes. Try to get a cue tip and put some Alcohol in the place where the ink goes through. These should be small sponge like things underneath the ink cartridges.

How to recovery deleted sent item in oe-6

Hi Shreedhar.bh

It is very unusual for only one folder to cause problems in OE6.

  • Is the folder missing or is it there but empty?
  • Are all the other folders ok?
  • Try sending a new email and see if it appears in the sent folder?
  • Try doing a full virus scan.
  • Clear out old temporary internet files.
  • Check that OE is operating correctly and not freezing.
  • You could try using System Restore to take your computer back to a point when it was working correctly.
  • If the folder is missing completely, it could be that OE6 has been corrupted by a virus and is unable to read the folder. All the OE folders on your hard drive have the extension .dbx. You can search for them using find files and folders. You will only be able to open them with OE.
