You need to go to the EliteGroup website to download the drivers for your motherboard if it is built into the motherboard. If it is a separate card you will need to go to the manufacturer website and get the drivers for your operating system.

No sounds on my computer

  • Verify that the lack of sound is not due to faulty speaker connections. A simple way to test it is to substitute the speaker connection with headphones and see if you get any sound.
  • Open the volume control window by clicking your "Start" button and then "All Programs." Click "Accessories," then "Entertainment," then "Volume Control." Alternatively, just click on the speaker icon that's in your System Tray.
  • Check the volume and mute settings. If any of the mute check boxes have been checked, uncheck them. If this doesn't work, read on.
  • Perform a System Restore If Necessar
  • If the sound has been audible from your computer's speakers and is suddenly lost, you may need to perform a System Restore. Click on the " Start" button and then "All Programs."
  • Click on "Accessories," then "System Tools," then "System Restore."
  • 3 Complete the System Restore Wizard. If this doesn't work, read on.
  • Delete and Reinstall the Original Sound Drivers
  • Deleting and reinstalling your sound driver may resolve the problem. Your sound driver may have been corrupted or may be missing. The result of this is that the restore utility menu won't be available. For Windows XP, follow these steps.
  • Click on your "Start" button. Click on "Control Panel" and then "System." Next, click on "Hardware," then "Device Manager, then "Sound, Video and Game Controllers."
  • Click on a sound device named in the Device Manager, and then press the Delete key on the keyboard. Click "OK" in the window that appears. Remove all the listed sound devices i this way EXCEPT Audio Codec and Legacy Audio Drivers.
  • Restart your computer. Reinstall the deleted drivers using the Driver and Application Recovery CDs that came with your Windows XP system.
  • Visit your computer manufacturer's official website. Check for any updated sound driver software for your sound card. If any, download them along with the installation instructions.

I need drivers for windows 7

There may not be any. The company is no longer in business - from what I can see, they went out of business c. 2005, so there would be no driver support for anything past Windows XP.

I download the audio driver and install in and it says device cannot start and i have no audio

Due to lack of information about what kind of computer you have, sound card etc, I can't really solve your problem.

Did you get the right drivers for your operating system?

Is your sound onboard or is it an actual card?

If it's onboard, it might be shot, and if it's a card, see if you can switch it to onboard (if you have any) via the BIOS.

    No Sound on M-Audio Sessions

more than likely your computer is lacking the drivers to run the sound card or sound portion of your motherboard. These are included ON the motherbaord drivers CD if integrated into the Motherboard and on thier own CD if you added in a soundcard in an expansion slot.
A good way to check is to go to the control panel , click on system, then select the hardware tab at the top, then select the "device manager " button. scroll down and look for a yelloe ! or ? next to your sound device or listed as "other device".
If you find ANY of these, the drivers are missing, corrupt or NOT installed.
If you include the make and model of the computer, I can help you with some specific instruction, so feel free to post again if you need more help.. Regards

    No sound/audio device recognized

Tell you what, try the new High defenition audio drivers from Realtek. it's available on their homepage. That's been a big problem, due to the lack of information (can you beleve that!) from Realtek. HD drivers are preparation for windows of as the name sais High Defenition sound. After that normaly windows (XP) gets everything done by itself.
