This means the hard disk itself has recorded enough errors that it will probably go very bad soon. Backup any or all of your data and replace the hard drive.

Smart failure occured in harddisk

Get to a command prompt during boot by pressing F8 and run chkdsk x: /f/r X being most likely the C drive that has the SMART predictive drive failure, or disable the option in BIOS.

Smart failure on harddisk 2

Hello, smart is an acronym for Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology . This is some clever firmware built into the hard drive that monitors the drive for premature failure...by that I mean if it starts to fail, (but still functions) you get a warning that it's on its way out, so giving you time (hopefully) before it fails to get your data transferred to a new drive.Regards,nicam49

To disactive the password of harddisk

LOL, you're out of luck. If you're smart enough to set the hard disk password, you should be smart enough to remember it. 99% of the computers that have a password lock on the hard drive are stolen computers. The original owner put the lock on to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. The owner could have set the password remotely once the computer is stolen.

The computer is useless to you. The only way the password can be broken is if the original owner who put it on, takes it off? Even if you take the hard drive out of the computer, it can never be used again as long as it has a password lock on it.

"primary master harddisk S.M.A.R.T Command failed , press F4 to resume"

American Megatrends is telling us our Pri Master Hard disk: S.M.A.R.T. is bad, backup and replace.

By questions and answers from above, is this telling us to replace hard drive?

S.M.A.R.T Command failed

It means that the hard disk SMART monitoring system has detected problems serious enough to warn you of the growing possibility of hard disk failure. Sometimes a drive will last quite awhile after this first notification, but there is a good chance of imminent failure, in minutes, hours, days, or weeks. You should immediately look into installing a replacement drive.

You should immediately copy any important data off the drive, perform full backups, and limit use of it.

If you can install drives yourself, a new hard disk (especially Seagates) usually come with software to clone your existing drive to the new drive. Otherwise, a repair shop will be able to do it for you.

I recommend also purchasing a drive enclosure for your old drive. For whatever life it still has, it will be a good backup of your system.
