I would like to know what version of Windows you are running. This will better help me know what setting you are dealing with.

In regards to your firewall just turning it off for a few minutes for testing will be fine and will help use see better to see if the problem is with the firewall or with your network card. Note Windows 7 and Vista's firewall has gotten alittle more strict and you may have an option set that could be blocking things.

Also double check your wireless card's settings to have them set to obtain your IP Address automaticly. The links below will help you do this.

How to check and change you computer IP address in Windows 7
How to check and change you computer IP address in Windows XP

Another thing we may want to look at is your setting on your router its self. Please let me know its make and model. Also have you tried to connect a wired connection to see if you have the same problem.

You will need to make sure you have installed both the hardware and device driver properly if you know for a fact this was done correctly id say you need to update your driver to the latest version to ensure that it is not your OS interfering after all this has been done if you device is still not working id say it is dead and neither software nor hardware solutions will be of any value

hope this helps

I cant use my webcam and i cant connect to wlan using my msi u135 netbook

You will need to download the drivers for your wireless and your webcam connect an ethernet cable from the netbook to your router if you do not have a router then connect it to your modem and go to the microsoft update to download the drivers, on the netbook should be a switch or by looking at the keyboard press the Fn button and on the top of your keyboard look for a button that look slike a satellite dish or an Arial and push it this will turn on the wireless connection and let you connect to your wireless router

Hey, i'm having trouble setting my MSI wireless router

Make sure the physical connection is correct.

- Cable/DSL Modem > connected to Internet Port of the router.
- Computer connected to port 1 on the router

First, try to reset the router. Press the reset button at the back of the router for 20 seconds, then unplug the power to the router and the modem. Wait for 30 seconds, power on modem first, wait for the lights to go solid, then power on router.

That should be all set. If not, please run the Setup CD that came with your router.

Wireless conncection

depending on who your ISP is, you need an ethernet cable coming from the modem into the WAN/Internet port on back of router. Once that is in you can try to connect wirelessly using the settings your router is setup for :

SSID/network name
encryption type
encryption key/passkey/passphrase
-- this part is dependent on above setting
wireless channel

Msi rg54g3 wireless router

Cable modem or DSL? If cable modem without phone service, modem power has to be unplugged 2 minutes before the router is connected in order to release the mac address from memory. If cable modem with phone service, same thing applies, but battery backup must also be disconnected.
DSL modem may require PPPoE setup into router.
