Take a deep breath, then go to and look at and download your manual for free. You will be able to make the diagrams much bigger to see the threading. Take your time and do not get too frustrated, you will get it. Good luck

How do you adjust the timing on a serger? I have a White Speedylock 1634.

There are a lot of web sites & videos dealing with timing. Just search for "serger timing" or "overlocker timing."

My serger is not looping at all. I changed the needles and nothing is working.

Start with the threading sequence. Upper looper, lower looper, left needle, right needle. Your upper & lower loopers must be threaded before your needles or it won't make the stitch. If it still doesn't work, it's out of time and will need to be taken in to a shop.

My white speedylock 1634 the left needle only picks up the loop every 3 inches.Serger left needle is going in holes are there. I have re-threaded it several times. how can i fix this?

Try putting in a new set of needles. Make sure to fully insert the needles into the machine. If the needles are not set fully into the shaft, or if there is a burr or nick on the needle tip skipping stitches can result. If this doesn't solve your problem, possibly the timing is off and needs to be serviced.

Can I flat hem on the white1634 serger /

I don't think that it will work like you want it to, you have a narrow or rolled hem. A copy of your manual is at and under customer support, instruction manual, enter 1634 in the box.

White 's serger

Even though the video is busted, have you tried taking it to a store like Radio Shack and having them try to put the information on DVD for you?

My VHS tape was fine but I put it on DVD and the instructions are quite good and very helpful.

Yes, call "White" at 1-800-331-3164 or go to . You should be able to get another manual and video. The only way the serger is going to work properly, is to thread it properly. I've learned the hard way. After 2 days of persistence, I finally got it. Good luck and I hope this helps you.

My white speedylock serger 1634 thread keeps getting in knots

i have the book and it says thread from inside out, inside looper (upper) then lower, then thread the needles, first right then left.  I have found that it does not matter if you thread the needles or loopers first but that you should try to thread from inside to out.
