One of your remotes has reverted to an earlier technology and although they will each work individually they will not work together. You need to purchase a new remote of the same model number you have and you will find that the new remote will work with one of your remotes but not the other. Remove the battery from the bad remote and discard it to prevent problems down the road.

Can the code bechanged on a Liftmaster Formula1 opener, just divorced and husband isn't nice

I have to assume a couple things here. First - I assume he still has a remote. Second - You want to change the opener so that his remote will not work and not just the keypad outside the garage. So.

To change the opener so that none of the existing remotes and the keypad will work just locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. You may have to remove a light lens to get to it. Press and hold this button for 6 seconds. That erases the memory. Now you need to program your remotes. Hold the button down on the remote and then press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote you have.

Now the keypad. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you want and press enter.

That's it.

When we program the remote entry box (outside), it negates the remotes in the cars. Then, when I re-program the remotes in the car, it negates the remote entry outside. I'm doing everything according to...

Either you have the wrong keypad for your opener or it has reverted to another technology. Whichever you need to get the model number off the opener and get another keypad. The model number is on the opposite end of where all those white wires go. If it is a Craftsman it will start with 139.

I have a crafsman opener #139,53879. Installed an outside remote on door and now the factor opener will not work.

Sounds like your outside remote may be the wrong one for your opener. Program your original remotes and you will most likely find your outside remote will not work. The model number for your opener is on the opposite end of where all those white wires go. Use it whenever you need to buy anything for your opener.

Can only program one remote or keypad. which ever

You are going to have to do a process of elimination. I think you have either a bad remote or a bad keypad. Try programming a remote and then the keypad. If only one works then go with the other remote and the keypad. If only one works then program the two remotes. If the two remotes work then the keypad is bad or if you can program one remote and the keypad then the other remote is bad. Get rid of the bad one.

We have 2 remotes with our Craftsman garage door opener, besides the outside key pad. We had to get a new battery for one of the remotes, the old battery died. But now can only get one remote to work at...

You can't. You need to find which remote works with the keypad and discard the other one after removing the battery. Then you will need to purchase a new remote making sure you get the same model number as you already have. One of your remotes has reverted to an earlier technology and replacement is the only cure. The explanation of this problem is the manufacturers not mine.

Programing keyless remote

The odds are the keypad will not work with your new opener. The radio frequency has been changed on the new openers. But if you want to try you just press and immediately release the smart/learn button on the motor unit and then walk over to the keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter. These instructions are for a wireless keypad.

Code Remote and other remotes do not all work at the same time.

Either your keypad has reverted to an earlier technology and will no longer work properly with your opener or you have the wrong keypad. Either way take the model number off the main unit and get the correct keypad.

Your keypad is not the same "generation" as your remotes. You operator will work with your security plus remotes or your old keypad but not both. Yor cheapest solution is to replace your keypad.
