Question about Olympus Digital Cameras

1 Answer

My camera was working fine . I moved the computer to another room. This is the problem when I try to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer I get an error message stating that the software is unable to find The Olympus Digital camera connected to the USB Port on your computer. Well I have tried eveything. A new USB cable, reinsatlling the program. Moving the cable to all ports on the computer. I took the camera to a friends and we insatlled the program on his computer and it did the same thing. I need the camera for my job. I have gone through the help tutorial that came with the camera and nothing . Please HELP! Thanks Paul A. Crashell

Try to get a external memory card. And try that instead. It might work better than the usb.

Welcome to Fixya

Try the alternate way of transferring the pictures to your computer instead of using cable.

To download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. Just drag&drop pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files.

Thanks

Cant take a picture although camera turns on

2 possible solutions. !. try using another SD card. if the one in the camera is full, you cannot take a picture. 2. Try another SD card for transferring, (and taking pictures) and try transfer of this card in another camera or reader, such as the one in photo print places.

Transferring photo from computer to memory stick

Many cameras will not let you write to the card. Try using a card reader, which will make the memory card appear to the computer as a separate hard drive.

CAMERA PROBLEM

I have never heard of transfering like you want. Normally the internal memory wouldn't have room enough to hold those from the card, I think you will have to transfer to a computer, or go to one of the many photo processers and have them download all your pictures to cd or what ever. Once on a cd on in the computer, you can then delete pictures from internal memory and card and start all over again.

Getting Pictures Off My Camera and Onto My Computer

It sound like you have a problem with your memory card.
But I would try buying a card reader as well. Whether it turns out to be the card or not.
there are alot things that can go wrong when trying to use your camera to transfer the images instead of a card reader. a card reader shouldn't cost you more than 20 dollars.
It will also make transferring your images faster.
in the camera when you hit the review button do the images show up on the lcd screen of the camera?

Hope that works,
Caleb

Trouble transferring pictures from camera to computer

First, Try and install the HP software again. Uninstall the software first and reboot the pc. Then reinstall software. The memory chip maybe have currupt pictures, so format the chip using the camera. You manual should tell you how to do this. Second, Turn the camera on and let the battery run all the way down. This may take some time, maybe a day. Then charge it back up for a day. I hope this helps you out. Let me know.

Picture display for 4:3 tv means wide screen. So check out your manual to get the camera back to normal TV format.
