Question about Yahoo Messenger
It's normal to receive instant messages from uknown contacts(obviously bots). It's a way of phishing or infecting your computer. When you respond to their IMs, they would reply with automated answers and then give you links that will direct you to suspicious websites.
Regarding the IMs that your friends receive from your account but you know you did not send that message, It is possible that your computer is infected with a virus or someone has your log-in credentials for Yahoo Messenger. Please run a scan using Malwarebytes or Trojan Remover to check for infections. And, change the password of your Yahoo account.
