There might be a problem with your operating system or with your hardware usually motherboard. Try to repair the operating system system first. 1. Insert the installation cd and boot from the cd drive. (You can choose booting from cd drive by pressing f12 when you power on the pc). 2. Press any key when you see the word "press any key to boot from cd...".
3. Wait for the option for repair or install. Choose "repair" to repair your operating system.
4. Follow the instructions and you should be able to open windows now.

If after you have finished with the repair and still get the same problem, have your motherboard check. This might already be a hardware issue.

When was the last time you were able to use your computer?
Did you installed any software recently in your computer?
Try pressing F8 on startup and use the Last Known Good Configuration. May be that will help.

We have desktop xp and it is running on safemode how do we take this off

You can't take off Safe Mode, it's there for your protection. However, if you want to boot into Normal Mode, shut down the computer. When you hear the computer beep, start tapping F8 on your keyboard. Keep tapping it until you reach the Advanced Options menu. Once you've reached this, just select "Start Windows Normally".
Now it will boot you into Windows on Normal Mode, not Safe Mode.

My computer is having start up issues. When I turn it on it'll act like it's loading normally and then it'll beep twice. It'll go to a screen that will have several ERRORs on it and ask me to press either...

Hi,

It may happen when CMOS Checksom error i.e error may happen due to keyboard failure. Please follow the steps to short the BIOS

> Open the Laptop back panel. Locate the CMOS battery, remove it & then with the
help of a screw driver keep on pressing the terminal inside it and turn ON the computer for 10 secs and Turn Off (make sure you keep on pressing the terminal with a
screwdriver while turning ON). It will short the BIOS setting. Now, fix the CMOS battrey & restart the computer. This will take care of the issue.

Now, restart the computer in normal mode. If still facing issues then I would suggest a full system recovery.

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

Hi,
power on the system and as soon as you press the power button keep tapping the F8 key .this should take you to windows advanced option menu.select safe mode and press enter.this should take you to the safe mode where minimum and basic services are running.then
press start>run>type msconfig>this should pull up a window
the last tab would be startup.click on start up and select disable all, click on ok and restart the system.if this time system goes to normal windows this means some program is causing the issue at the time of start up.
if it doesn't go to windows then go safe mode and follow the same steps and this time click on services.click on hide all microsoft services and disable the rest.and reboot.
if this goes to normal windows in any of above 2 steps this means some service or some program is causing the issue.and you can go back to safe mode and enable all and eliminate one by one.this way you will come to know which program is causing issue.

IF THIS DOESN'T EVEN GO TO SAFE MODE THEN

boot from windows Cd and try and repair with recovery console

My computer runs window 7 and it keeps shutting down for no reason and also it keeps freezes for sometime.

Reboot the computer in "Safe" mode and run it for a while and see if the same problems occur. If it doesn't, then I would suspect it is a software and not a hardware problem.

If you think it is a software problem, reboot the computer into safe mode again. Now click the start button and in the search box type MSCONFIG

When the window pops up click the "Selective Startup" button and then on the startup tab. Deselect all the checked boxes, click apply and ok, reboot the computer normally.

Now only the essential services will load and no programs will automatically load. If the computer continues to run normally, then you can go back into MSCONFIG go to the strat tab and start checking a few boxes to start again, like antivirus and malware first. Reboot the computer and see if it freezes with those programs running....if it does then you know one of those is the culprit, if not click a few more on and reboot until you find the trouble software.

Windows will not start up

choose start windows in Safe mode, if it starts then everything will look big, don't worry about that for now. Then go to Start>accessories>system Tools>system restore and choose a date when you know that everything was working normally, when it has finished restoring the computer will restart. If asked choose start windows normally.

I hope this helps

Computer will not start past safe mode screen

In safe mode, hit start button -run, and type "msconfig" in the box , hit enter.
the system configuration utility opens.
select startup tab at the top
when the startup screen opens, UNcheck all the boxes, press APPLY, then OK
the computer will prompt you to restart, when it restarts it will give you a message saying you have use the system configuration utility to change the way windows starts, this is normal. Check the box that say dont show this again and click OK.
doing this will keep the programs set to start when windows starts from starting untill you start them manually. If one of them is causing the freeze, this will make the system accessible.
Keep in mind, you may want to turn some of them back on after you get the computer going and when you do , turn them on one at a time and restart the computer after each change. this way you can identify which program is causing the problem.
Hope this helps. please repost if you have more questions

Windows won't start

the reason it does this is because a program was interrupted before it finnished or a incorrect driver was installed.start up in safe mode to repair the problem.if you know of a new driver youve just installed either roll back to previous driver or delete it.
if unsure use check disk.when done restart.pc
