Hi,

You can download the user guide to know this 2 MB only.

Here is the link to do that :

http://downloads.emachines.com/userguides/DesktopPC_UserGuide_en.pdf

Or

You can find something called support information in this link :

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T-Series&model=T3414

Or

http://tinyurl.com/3tt57v

Open this link & below the support information you can see user guides.

Click on that you will get two options :

NG3 Hardware Reference (14.11 MB)
User Guide (2.00 MB)

Click & download which says User Guide. Open it and scroll to the page number 50 and chapter 5.

You can see the instructions with image on installing the memory.

Good Luck.

Open the side pannel then you will see the ram installed in slot, just put the ram module into the empty slot and gently push it, the latch in the side of the slot will close with a click sound

If a install faster processor in my emachines t2954 would my desktop work faster

Max out the memory and upgrade the processor....

Sure.....but that is only a job for an experienced PC tech.

The worst part is after spending all that money for upgrades, you could have purchased a new PC with a warranty.

It's your choice.

Says low on meomry shut down running programas and restart

The problem is your memory, you have used maximum memory on your machine, the program you are running requires certain amount of memory to function properly, it is advised that you clear your utilization of memory like, deleting files you don't use or files that are duplicated, another solution is to upgrade your memory or add more RAM to your machine for better speed performance.
Hope you find this helpful.

What steps are needed to upgrade my memory. I have a etower667ir with ramsd64mpc. I want to install 2 128mb sdram dimm pc100. what do I need to do?

First download a system analyzer fromwww.belarc.com and use it to check what is the maximum Ram that it can accommodate. If it will take just make sure you-get Non-parity ram when you buy the sticks. please note that SDram is more expensive that DDRam, but cannot be substituted.

Upgrade problems

Your system comes stock with one stick of DDR2 (512 MB), which means that it is _ not_ dual channel DDR2 memory as dual channel DDR2 must be installed in matched pairs. Try to exchange the new memory for 2G of some single channel DDR2.
