Use a separate card reader instead of the camera.

Canon power shot sd1000 won't connect to my computer anymore. The computer does not sense that there are pictures on the camera!

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

I need to get an order form to order the part to help me download the pictures off of my camera. Evision 123 # 69A2S1CX0 05280

I could not determine what part it is that you are looking for, however I will still try to help you. It sounds like you are trying to transfer pictures from your camera's memory card to your computer. There are two ways that you can do this.
1. You can use the USB cable that came with the camera and connect the camera to the computer with the memory card inside the camera. Perhaps the part you are looking for is this USB cable to connect your camera to the computer and download the images.
2. If you do not have the USB cable that came with the camera, then you will need to take the memory card out of the camera and plug the memory card into a memory card reader. If your computer has a built in memory card reader then great, that's all you need; just plug the card into the reader and download the pictures from the card. If your computer does not have a built in memory card reader, you can buy one for cheap and plug it into a USB port. Here is a link to buy one from amazon.com which is a very reputable online store:
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDDR-88-A15-Hi-speed-Reader-Package/dp/B0000AKVHF
Plug this card reader into your USB port on your computer and plug your camera's memory card into this reader. Your computer will recognize the card and you can download the images to your computer! Good luck!

I am trying to download pics from my Canon G11 to my computer and have it plugged in but don't know what to do next.

Hello and welcome to FixYa
To upload your photos from your
Canon PowerShot G11 Digital Camera to computer
1.First connect your digital camera to your computer.
You can do this in two different ways:

Use a USB cable:Most digital cameras come with a cable that connects the camera to a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port on your computer.
Through memory card:A memory card reader is a piece of hardware that plugs right into your computer. You remove the memory card from your camera and insert it into your memory card reader, similar to the way you might transfer a file between two computers using a floppy disk.
Now connect USB cabe or Memory card Reader to the port of the computer
2.Once you've connected your camera to your computer or inserted your memory card into your memory card reader, your computer will detect the connection and ask you what you want to do with your pictures. If you connected your camera with a USB cable, click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK
If you are using a memory card reader, click Copy pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK.

If you are using a memory card reader, click Copy pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK.
angel_bird_5.gif
3.When the Scanner and Camera Wizard appears, click Next.
4.All of the pictures on your camera (or in your camera's memory card) are now displayed on the Choose Pictures to Copy page. By default, Windows XP selects all of the pictures for downloading. If there are pictures you do not want to download, just clear the check box next to those pictures. At this stage, you can also rotate pictures that you took while holding your camera vertically. To rotate a picture, click it, and then click either the Rotate clockwise or Rotate counterclockwise button on the lower-left side of the page. When you have reviewed the pictures for downloading and rotated your vertical pictures, click Next.

5.On the Picture Name and Destination page, type a name for the group of pictures. (This name, plus a number to differentiate each picture, will be applied to each of the pictures you download; for example, if you name the group "Vacation," the pictures will be named "Vacation001," "Vacation002," and so on.) Click Browse, and select a folder in which to save your pictures.
6.
If you want to erase the images from your camera's memory card to make space for new ones, select the Delete pictures from my device after copying them check box, and then click Next. The Scanner and Camera Wizard copies the pictures from your camera to the folder you specified and then removes the pictures from your camera's memory card.

7.On the Other Options page, you can choose to publish your pictures to a Web site or order prints. If you have finished working with your pictures, click Nothing, and then click Next.
8.On the final page of the wizard, click Finish. Windows XP opens a Windows Explorer window showing the pictures you downloaded from your camera. Your camera's memory card is now clean and ready to store new pictures. If you connected your camera to your computer using a USB cable, disconnect your camera. If you used a memory card reader, return the memory card to the camera.
Your photos are now stored on your computer, ready for whatever you want to do with them, and your camera is ready to take more pictures.

I hope this will surely help you. Further assistance i am here to help

I can't transfer pictures from my computer to my digital frame. When I connect my usb cable to my computer from my digital frame , the frame displays "Connected to computer. Use PC interface to copy files....

You can start copying pictures to SV811 digital picture frame if you get the message “Use PC interface to copy files.” Here are the steps:

Copy pictures, videos, and music between your frame and computer, using your computer's normal file copying tools:

1. Connect the USB cable from the frame to your computer
2. On your computer, open My Computer or Windows Explorer.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

3. Navigate to the pictures you want to copy. Then drag and drop them to the new location.
4. Unplug the USB cable to view your copied pictures.

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:

1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw )
2. Connect the USB cable.
3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.
4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

5. Select the frame source to which you are copying.
6. Select Best for Digital Picture Frame to reduce the resolution of the pictures you are copying. Full resolution is unnecessary and quickly fills up the frame's memory.
7. Click Copy. Pictures are copied to your frame.
8. Unplug the USB cable and press “Home” icon to navigate to your copied pictures.

I don't know in which country you live (this is helpful to know!), but in most stores offering cameras and many offering electronic items, you should be able to procure a kit of adaptors that will include a cable to use with them.
In the US at least, Wal-Mart, Best buy, Circuit City and Radio Shack are likely sources.
Elsewhere (?) you are on your own.

Try putting the card in the camera and in the menu, select 'FORMAT' this will totally wipe the memory card, ready for use. You will find plenty replacement cables on Ebay, for about £7.00-8.00
