The only way to find out if the two will work together is to pair them and see if they work. theoretically it is fine to say the bluetooth is bluetooth and they will pair, but not all BT work together. You have to power on both and on the phone you have to search for BT devices. Once you locate the E220 select it and authorize it to connect.

Yes, it will work. All you have to do is to pair with your blackberry. Open up the bluetooth capability of your blackberry and then push the bluetooth button on your phone. Proceed with the pairing.

Let me know about the results.

I was using my plantronics 99xx with my blackberry and it was working fine but now the headset doesn't work anymore even though the blackberry has the plantronics see in the bluetooth list

What you need to do is eliminate the headset from your Blackberry and re-pair the two devices. The link below has the pairing instructions. They're the same for the Discovery 925.

How to Replace the Battery of 590 plantronics?

17 jun 2010

Thank you safauoc! I am going to look into the matter of replacing the battery on the now discontinued and very expensive Plantronics 590a.
753f191.jpg It came as a very big disappointment to learn that this headset is not compliant with Bluetooth V2.0 and the Blutooth Handsfree Profile. To get it to work with Skype, I had to purchase the Plantronics BUA-100 dongle - which was also very very expensive.
883c841.jpg Now the battery is evidently failing - and the 590a's range is getting shorter and shorter.

I do not think that Plantronics has managed this device's roll-out in a competant manner.

Plantronics 330 no longer pairs with Blackberry 8310.

I believe that the bluetooth symbol that you see indicates that bluetooth is enabled on your Blackberry, not that you are connected to a device (at least that's how mine works).

Here are some suggestions:

First, if you are on BES, check with IT to make sure no changes were made (they can block bluetooth).

Next, make sure you are using the most current software. It should be: v4.5.0.108. If you are using an older version, definitely update your software because the 8310 is known to have bluetooth issues.

Do you see your headset listed on "paired devices"? If so, I suggest that you delete it before upgrading the software.

Once your headset is no longer listed (or if it wasn't in the first place), re-connect it to your Blackberry as follows (apologies if you already know this part):

1. Re-set your headset:
Turn the headset off.

Press and hold down the control button.
After 6-10 seconds, the light will flash blue, then it will flash red, then blue.
Release the button when you see the red/blue.

2. On your Blackberry:

Open "Options"
Open "Bluetooth"
Open menu within Bluetooth
If not already on, click "Enable Bluetooth"
Open Bluetooth menu again.
Open "Options".
Turn "Discoverable" to "Yes"

Open the Bluetooth menu a 3rd time.
Click on "Add Device".
Your Blackberry will search for your headset.
If you are prompted for a Passkey, use 0000 (that's 4 zeros).
After a short time, your headset will appear on your Blackberry.
It should appear as Plantronics 3xxx.

Make sure you go back into Bluetooth Options and change "Discoverable" back to "No".

Once you have established a new connection with upgraded software, you should have no trouble with "Transfer Address Book".

Hope this solves your problem.

Blackberry 8310 Bluetooth device no services

I just experieiced this for the second time on my 8320 using a plantronics 510 bluetooth. The solution was to take the battery adn SIM card out of the phoine and leave it out for a full minute. It appears that the phone needs to be rebooted once in a while. I suspect Bill Gates designed some of the internal code.

Plantronics 330 bluetooth headset / Nextel Blackberry 7100i performance

After looking through the phones, there many possibilities, wow quite a few. It does not have any recommendations on headsets. The headset is only as good as the the quality you are purchasing. If your phone drops calls it won't be from the bluetooth device. Below is a link to the Explorer Series 300 User's Guide, which may help you.
