Question about Onkyo HT-SR800 System
I have connected the AV audio cable from the tv to the receiver, but am unable to get it to play through the speakers. How do I need to set the receiver up to play the AV audio from the tv through the speakers?
Based on the description provided, you seem to be on the right track.
Be sure to select the appropriate "source" on the receiver using the remote (or front panel). The AV connection on the back of the receiver is typically labeled (i.e. Video 1, AUX, VCR... or similar). If there's only one unlabeled input, choose something that looks like "AUX IN" from the menu.
Also, make sure that you connected the cables to the TV via the "Audio Out", not the "Audio In" ports.
If these are too obvious and you have already done this, please provide additional information.
