How to replace the lithium battery ?

I have read that it is soldered in place. If you are good with electronics, open it up and look for the battery? I do not know what kind of battery, you will have to look and try to find a correct replacement. If you are not good with electronics, find a friend who is, or pay someone who can fix phones and electrical clocks.

Tiger jag-s wont start

I have a Tiger jag-s and it had the same problem and I fixed it just by replacing the lithium battery. It's little bit tricky though to replace the battery. You can take the bottom cover off by removing the 4 screws (this part is fairly straightforward). Once you take off the bottom cover, you'd see a circuit board at the front side (it's vertically installed). You'll see the lithium battery on the circuit board. But the lithium battery is sort of soldered on, as others already pointed out. Now is the tricky part. To take the battery off, you better take the circuit board out first. To do so, you need to disconnect the wires and take the three screws out. But before you unplug the wires (that's easy), you SHOULD take a nice photo first so you'll be able to replug them correctly afterwards. Check your photo to make sure you'll be able to recognize all the wires and clearly see how they are plugged before you take action. Once you take the circuit board out, you need just figure out how to get the battery off. I found it's really not soldered on because I couldn't get it off by heating it with a solder gun. So at the end, I just used a box cutter to pry the two wire plates off the battery. Do whatever you can, but just be careful not to break the plates. Once the battery's off, I just used tapes to fix the new battery on (make sure the battery's in the right direction). Once the battery's replaced, the cooker works fine as before.

Replace battery in Rice cooker - Tiger TAE-A10U

Hi wlegray...
Found this information on the Tiger website...

"To prolong the internal battery life keep the unit plugged in.
Keep in mind that the cooker will still perform properly without the battery as it just runs the clock when the unit is unplugged. Life of battery is approx. 4 yrs."

As long as power cord is plugged into power source, you may able to use all the features.
If you like to replace the battery, contact customer service.
A fee may apply.

Where is the lithium battery located on a JAE-A18U model?

Removed 4 screws with black plastic on the bottome. Then slowly seperate the lower housing. Lithium battery is located on the electirc diplay unit which has 3 screws. Unfortunately, the battery is soldered on and will require a shop with soldering experience to replace. I'm having the flashing 0:00 issue and my rice cooker is not working.

Tiger rice cooker

There is a sensor that regulates how hot the cooker gets and shuts it down to the warm setting when it senses that the heat is too high...meaning that all the water has cooked guess is that the sensor failed and as far as I know it is not replaceable.
