Initially, let's try a hard reset by removing the battery. Let it be without batteries for a couple of minutes to about an hour. Thereafter re-insert battery and try again. Additionally, pls verify that the battery is fully charged

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Installed fresh batteries but wont switch on.

take out the batteries and make sure that they are good. Some times it doesn't matter if they are new they sometimes wont work. Double check the polarity when putting them in. Try another set of batteries, is this a rechargeable one? you didnt mention the model.

Wont switch on - aa batteries are new and in correct polarity. button battery new correct polarity.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Camera purchased 6 weeks ago and it does not turn on now. batteries read barely into good area on battery charger. thought regular AAs would work, but they don't. HELP!!

Try new Alkyline batteries again ... (not heavy duty ones).
Make sure the batteries are inserted in the correct polarity... I'm sure it's the batteries.

Camera wont switch on

well assuming the camera hasn't been damaged, make sure of the polarity of the batteries when installing them. Also make sure they are all fresh and of the same kind. If one battery is bad, it will prevent the camera from turning on. If still a problem, use a "Q" tip dipped in alcohol to clean the battery contacts in the camera. If this doesn't solve your problem, contact the mfg about downloading new firmware for the camera... Hope this helps.

Wont turn on

I don't know if this will help, but try it. Install new batteries. You may have enough power to view the images, but not have enough power to operate everything. There are also microcomputers in the camera. You can also try removing batteries, WAIT 1 FULL MINUTE, then reinstall (making sure the polarity is correct). Hopefully either of these simple solutions help.

My fuji finepixs 5200 wont let me take photos and when i try it says "FOCUS ERROR"

First let's see if the camera will reset. Remove the battery or batteries and leave them out for 5-10 minutes. Then, reinsert batteries. Try taking pictures in various lighting situations. Also, try taking pictures at various focal lengths (distance from subject to camera). Follow-up and let me know how the photos turn out -- and in which situations you receive the FOCUS ERROR. I'll gladly help you further at that time.

Hi again,

If your cam is like what I have that uses 4 AA batteries, then any 6V 1000mA general purpose wall adapter would do. These should be readily available at most electronic stores. Your only concern would be the size and type of the plug as well as the polarity. Normally, there are indicators on the charger jack of the camera showing which is positive and which is negative.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
