Drum is making a loud banging noise during spin, it is brand new

Some banging or knocking during the ramp up to spin speed in this washer is normal. It is difficult to determine whether your washer has a problem or not based on your description. This banging lasts for varying amounts of time until the load is balanced and the washer ramps up to the full spin speed. If the load can not be balanced on the first attempt, the washer will ramp down and then tumble and attempt again to ramp up to speed. This may be the same thing that you are hearing when your washer ramps up to spin speed. Since the washer does spin at the full speed, there is not likely a problem with the washer. The components are designed to withstand repeated vibration and reasonable banging or knocking. The washer will vibrate to some extent at high speed. If you feel that the vibration is excessive, I recommend that you check the stability of the leveling feet. Press down on the diagonally opposing corners of the washer to check for play. If the washer rocks at all when conducting this test, I recommend that you adjust the leveling feet to eliminate this play even is the washer is not perfectly level after making this adjustment. This may help reduce the banging and vibration. Other than that if it is brand new call the people who you purchased it from so you don't void any warranties by taking it apart.

delicate is typically always only cold
the other 2 are usually warm
if you could reach the faucets where the hoses attach to you could turn off the hot water faucet assuring it would only had cold water going into it

Hello, I love my Ktchen Aid washer and have had it for over 17 years! It is a 3 speed, quiet scrub, extra capacity/heavy duty. The water fills the tub, but does not shut off and over runs onto the...

All you need to do, is see if you can find a Pressure Switch available at a Spares Depot. This is the problem with your Washing Machine. I do not know if you will still be able to get one though. The pressure switch notifies the Timer/Module when there is sufficient water in the Tub to commence washing.

Hope this helps.

Washing machine only does a slow spin

second speed in the motor is not engagine for some reason could be a loose wire or the speed could be burned out which means you'll have to replace the motor so i hope you love your machine. if you dont repair your machine stick with the top loaders STAY AWAY FROM FRONT LOADERS unless you tons of money to sink on repairs

Speed switch not working, only speed is fast.

It appears your clutch assembly has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Loud Noise

A common problem with the Neptune's and noise during the spin cycle happens when the bearings have gone out on the tub. Same problem I had. Replaced the bearings myself after ordering the parts and haven't had the noise since. It's back to working perfectly. Would only recommend you replace them if you're fairly mechanicaly inclined...it's a process but doable. Otherwise, call a service tech but be warned, they wanted to charge me $500...or I could buy a new tube with the bearing already installed for $800. Either way, isn't very cost effective depending on the age of the machine. If you know someone that's handy, there's tons of information on the web. I bought my parts from a guy on eBay and he included a service manual for my Neptune for free.

My washer

I would start with where you bought your washer.

If they are not available, look in the yellow pages for someone who works on your Washer Manufacturer. There are alot of competent technicians available. you could also ask neighbors friend or coworkers who they would recommend. I would try to find someone who has been in the area and is established. If they cant fix it they will make a recommendation on a replacement.

Your service tech make give you some advise.
Sometimes its hard to justify buying new. however I would not stick more the half of the replacement cost in a repair.
Best of luck! T

Won't spin to drain clothes still wet when finished

You may have a control board issue. I would recommend calling in someone to look at it.

Price out replacement vs repair it maybe time for a new machine.
