seems like the blue polarizer is overheated. you would have to check out inside the optics to see if the light that enters the blue lcd is coming from the overheated glass plate just in front of it.

We have a 3M S20 multimedia projector which is giving off a pink light.

Try replacing input cable or recheck that it's seated properly. (loose/bad cable will produce similar symptoms)

My 3m s20 projector has a big yellow spot in the middle of the screen even without a video signal. changing lamps did not help.

the polarizer on the blue lcd panel is fried due to excessive dust and heat. you may have to replace the whole optical engine.

Toshiba dlp s20 projector

both of you have fan and cooling issues. The fans are dirty and that is why they whistle. Try dust off or highly compressed air and blow them out really good and long. This should help. BTW the life expectancy of the projectors are avg. 5000-6000 hours total lifetime.

Toshiba TDP-S20 lamp problem

The lamp ballast which ignites the lamp has failed it sounds like. The red flashing lamp is the tell tale sign with a good lamp installed. Make sure the lamp door is closed too, there is a door switch that can also trigger the red lamp and no startup. There is a company in San Diego CA that can repair the unit called PROJECTOR DOCTOR
