How to remove beep sound after the system sound?

the beeps ate called post

Then what happens does it restart ? or just wont boot up ?

A bit more information please.

Not sure what you mean by 'when the hard drive beeps
does the hard drive start when you turn the laptop on

(at which point a do the beeps occur a single beep isn't unusual) and it stops when you turn the hard drive off - a beep then would be unusual.

I suspect you don't mean that, & if the laptop is working fine otherwise then I wouldn't worry about it or do you mean something else completely?

make sure the ram modules have secure seatings also check all power and data leads attached from motherboard to hard drive the same will apply for your graphics card

hope this helps

How do I wire up my jbl w12 to positive an negative

Hi Adrian,
To be honest, it depends on your amp, also on whether this is a dual voice coil sub or a single.

As a rule, if the sub has a dual voice coil (2 sets of connections) then connect the 2 positives together and the 2 negatives and run the 2 sets of cables to one output on the amp.

Check your amp specs to make sure that it will run @ 2 Ohms as this is what will result.

If your amp isn't 2 Ohms stable then you will have to wire each voice coil to a separate output on the amp.

Can you tell me what is the difference in performance without having Dual-Channel working as it should, compared to my present situation meening NO DUAL-CHANNEL working??

Dual channel means two channels of memory. there are two configurations you can use. you can use single channel method which has twoo ram sticks running on one channel or you can have a seperate channel for each ram stick. Dual channel is said to be the better way to run it because it increases speed of the ram. Now assuming you have 4 slots for ram. to use dual channel you have to run 2 sticks of the same value (MB) right next to each other. You cannot run 2 sticks of different values in dual channel mode. In the case that you do the sticks would pair together on a single channel. Hope this helps you better understand.

MSI H55M-P31 board & having 2 2GB DDR3 modules and I7 Processors, installed memory on dual channel and sytem beeps 3 time and no display

Depending upon which BIOS make is installed in your computer, 3 beep means RAM fault.
Check the specification of your motherboard for the recommended RAM.
Reseat the RAM nodules in the motherboard.
Remove the RAM and get them tested at your friendly computer repair shop.

Start pc and all i get is three long beeps

Either ur Ram is bad or not locked into the slot. The only other reason the 3 beeps is if the CPU is installed incorrectly or is bad.

One long beep.

  1. Leave the memory slot closest to the processor empty and try booting again. Award bios 1 long beep is memory error as the first 64K of the ram stick closest to th processor is accessed first. since you have tried different ram in different locations, let's rule out the board.
  2. If that doesn't solve anything try a different power supply. Sometimes (Phoenix) gives a long beep when system board or power supply are bad.
  3. Now if nothing else has worked it is probably tour mother board.

New Installation

Are you sure the ram is compatible with the mobo? Try taking all but one stick of RAM out and see if it still does it.

The long beeps tend to point to a RAM problem, or it's possible it can't "find" a hard drive.

Some motherboards support dual channel (you'll see different color slots), and some don't. If you try to put the sticks in dual channel configuration, and the cpu or the motherboard doesn't support dual channel, you may experience this.

If you have different color slots, put one stick in one color slot, and another stick in the other color, or vice versa.

The manual "should" tell you the proper configuration for this, and may even tell you what the beeps stand for.

If you can post the make / model of all the components, I can do the "dirty work" for you and see it if should all work together.
