Question about Coleman Mach 15 Air Conditioner

1 Answer

I replaced my filter on my Coleman Mach 2006 year model with a reusable 7x16 and it is frezzing up. The original filter was a 16x16 and appeared to be much thinner. I replaced it with 7x16 because that was all that was available and that is about the size of the return air inlet. The problem is my ac lines now begin to freeze if it doesnt cycle quick enough. Could the air filter be the problem? Is it to thick?

I have Coleman Evcon Presidential furnace. I can't find where is filter. I want to replace it but can't locate it on furnace. is there any?

If the filter is not mounted on the inside of the wall intake and serviced by a hinged door then it maybe located in the air handler directly below the blower fan in a thin tray that is just shy of the width of the air handler and as thin as a 1/2 inch. There is usually a single thumb pull in the center to access the tray. Here's the bad news. Out of the 5 times I've run into this the reusable filter was removed and thrown out, no one knew what happened to it, there were no disposable replacements that thin to fit. I ended up installing an intake vent door that fit standard disposable filters which cost less than going back to the manufacturer for the original reusable replacement part. Hope you find this helpful.Make sure you check the upstairs ceilings for intake filters first before you give up.

How can I find the model number for the fan. I have a 1999 avion with a coleman mach air the fan makes a lot of noise.we oil it but it quit last night and I think it may need replacing.

The model number of you upper unit which can be seen from inside on bottom of unit behind filter etc at ceiling, will give enough info for replacement fan. Here's a good spot to find part #'s etc for your unit.
