I Have the same problem, and diagnosed that it is not the speaker in the ear piece thats at fault! if you receive a call with the slide closed on the phone you should find that you can hear just fine! This would suggest a problem with the connection on the slide section it self. going to take apart today and have a proper look will let you know.

This because in your handset there will be 2 speakers
1 is loud speaker and 2 nd one is ear piece speaker....

so the loud speaker is working fine ...
There may be some loose contact in the ear piece speaker or the speaker might have got damaged ...

so if you are good at opening then just open your handset and check if there is any loose contact in the ear piece speaker .. is so fit it correctly ..
or you replace the ear piece speaker with the new one ...

if you are not good at opening then just contact the technician ...
he will do it ...
The ear piece speaker is very cheap so no problem .. just buy the ear piece speaker which is compatible to your handset in the shop if you are doing it by your self ...

the technician might take the service charge for this that s all but the ear piece speaker is too much cheap ..

any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
bye ...

When I make or receive a call I can't hear anything. The other person can hear me

hi

start your investigation with the volume buttons if the volume is low or some

if this still doesn't work check if you can hear the other party's voice using the phone either with a headset or on the loudspeaker

two possibilities here

1. if you still cant hear on the headset or loudspeaker even after the volume is put to max then there is an audio IC problem on the phone

if you can her the other party on the headset/ loud speaker then you have just identified that the phone speaker is damaged

hope this helped
cheers

pls rate the solution if it was any help

Speaker does not work well....

Trying turning down the volume a notch ...If the soundfiles are "home made" files then it's possible you made them too loud for the speakers on the phone to handle.
