Question about Nokia 6288 Cellular Phone
Can anyone please suggest a solution to this problem?
My Nokia 6288 (which I keep regularly charged up) switches itself off several times a day, which can be very frustrating as a couple of times it has happened when I am in the middle of a call.
Often it's Ok when I switch it back on, but at other times when I press the power button nothing happens, or just the Nokia logo appears on the screen then it switches off after a few seconds.
When I contacted 3 Mobile about it, they suggested removing the memory card, etc. but nothing has worked. They now want ME to take it to the nearest shop to get it repaired (20 miles from where I live!) - they are not prepared to collect it for repair or send me a replacement.
Thanks for your help,
Try one of this steps but then read everything first
1. enter *#7780#.........this will reset your phone but you will not lose any information just the settings you applied to the phone that would be lost.
2. enter *#7370#.........this is mostly called "deep resetting" because it will reset your phone to its manufacturing settings meaning you woll lose all your contacts, messages, pictures, etc
i would recomend the second one but do not forget to backup all your information before carrying out such operations cause once it is done it cannot be reversed and also you would be prompted to enter your phone code(incase you do not remember it send me your phones IMEI or serial number so that i can send you the code)
enter the code to accept the rest...................just make sure you do not overcharge your phoneas that can also affect the charging system and in turn would affect the phone.
charge to the specified time which shouldn't be more than 2 hours then take out the charger from the mains when not in use.
this should work perfectly.
