Replacing the fuse

Hi John.

It appears that the fuse is located on the inside, attached to the battery holder.

There are two versions of the DC011.

Go here:

Enter the type (1 or 2) that you have.

Look at the parts diagram. In either version, the fuse is #9 on the diagram.

The part is listed below.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

Radio will not charge a battery but it will run off a fully charged battery

There is a charger module in the radio that may be bad. The module is well over $100, so maybe charging the battery in a seperate charger is the way to go.

Go here:

Choose the type that you have (Type 1 or 2)

On the parts diagram, the charger module is #43.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

After a power surge radio will not turn on & charger will not work

This radio has an internal fuse that should be checked.

Go here:

Select the type that you have (#1 or 2)

On the parts diagram, look for #9 (fuse) and you will know where to look for this fuse.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

I bought a dEWALT DC011 RADIO . The problem is that when you set the 5 radio programmes the memory will not hold these. I understand that it is a known fault for this radio. please advise?thanks peter

Your radio/charger is equipped with memory capacity in order to store the time and your selected memory channels. When the radio is in the OFF position, this memory capacity is powered by two (2) AA batteries.
Please check these and replace all both pieces if they would be weak.
