I have a 17 inch princeton monitor and the screen goes off frequently. each time it was every 15 mintuires now it goes off every 4 to 5 mintures. i turn if off and back on and it works. help

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed PRINCETON monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

"no signal"

"no signal" means that the monitor is not receiving a video signal from your computer or laptop. This is normal if the compouter is OFF and the monitor is ON. Is the computer still on and connected to the monitor?

1. Most of the time it's the florecent tube about to go out. Check other posts to replace it.

2. Alot is the adapter after a while will lose voltage check the voltage out of the adapter it should be 12V at 4A or 5A would work fine.

Monitor goes to sleep after 30 minutes vl1919

Welcome to FixYa! The default power saving feature is turning the monitor off. To change the settings go to the Desktop>Right click on it>Properties>Settings and you will see power saving settings where you can choose "Never turn off" or a longer time interval. These settings can also be found in your Control Panel for all of the Power Saving features for the computer, monitor and hard drive. Steve

Using with a Mac

Looks like a power save program has hibernated your monitor. Look in Control panel settings to see if the power settings hibernate your monitor. Reset to never and this may fix your problem.

Drivers usually do not fail after 20 mins it is usually a software option set incorrectly.

Also, check the Bios program for correct settings or options.

I haven't had a Macintoch in a while but, this may give you some where to look for the solution

Good Luck
