Advise them that you are aware that the State Attorney General, Michael Cox, has written KTM twice and gotten no response from KTM., copies enclosed. Without satisfactory resolution to the issues at hand you have been advised to seek legal council and pursue a punitive lawsuit against KTM for breach of contract (warranty ), and damages. Once the lawsuit ha been filed you will accept no agreement less than a full refund of the purchase price, tax, title and license and documented expenses, including legal fees. You will deliver the bike to the KTM agent who sold it to you. You need to find an attorney and advise KTM of his name and contact information.

Interview several attorneys. Present what documentation you have at the interviews. Suggest a class action lawsuit? Your agreement should be no fees or charges of any kind will be paid other than through a judgment in your favor that covers attorneys charges and fees. The attorney must agree to represent you from the point of filing a lawsuit to a favorable decree by the court. KTMs' attorney will immediately check out the strength of your attorney. A one man legal show is no match for a law firm of 15 lawyers. If you engage a divorce attorney to act on your behalf you have already lost. Realize this means KTM will turn the issue over to the corporate attorneys and will not be able to correspond with you other than through their attorneys. You will need to stop riding the bike and park it in a safe place protected from weather and tampering. Chances are it will be a few years before any resolution is had.

Or you could picket the KTM dealer every Saturday for the next four months until the dealer pushes KTM to act on the matter. Contact a television investigative reporter and see if they would be interested in assisting in the matter. KTM does not want that much public exposure. You might want to try this route first. I wish the best of luck to you. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

What are some common problems with the ktm 530 exc-r 2008

as with all bikes of this nature, check for runout in wheels, loose spokes, lighting working, suspension not leaking, brake discs for exsess wear, check coolant level , check engine oil for evedence of water, leaking water pump, radiator cap leaking past overflow pipe this could be pressure in system due to head gasket failure, fuel leaking, also check area around eng oil plug for evidence of repaire with cemical metal or similar, slightly noisy tappets is not uncommon,, normaly prety good bike, avoid bikes that smoke exsessive, check all gears are working correctly. dont jump out of gear ride in every gear and check for mechanical noise from gearbox, good gearbox normaly easy to select, doesnt jump out of gear, if u are looking at buying a bike of this nature they are fairly high maintenance, like to be cleaned , oiled and addjusted frequent oil changes, these are basic things i would check when buying a machine of this type, not nessasary a ktm, and these coments are not meant to harm your decision only help you chose the rite one.

Ktm 530 /08 model has 88-100 miles on it i cant keep it running, wont start wont kick ,some times i can kick and then use electric start, if i turn it off battery seem dead, 3rd battery ,dealer is scra

This is obviously a problem in design of the bike. Weak circuit board design creating a shallow spark or mis-timed spark, OHC timing far too radical, carb design not compatible with the bore of the bike, factory valve angles out of whack, something, or several somethings have converged in this bike. Does your state have a "Lemon Law"? Many states have this and it forces the dealer to refund your money or replace the bike. Contact the KTM Corporate office > > KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG

Engine oil question

I was down 1/2 quart. Is it usual to burn that much oil in 700 miles or did the mechanic forget to change the oil at the 600 miles service? Husband bought a duplicate bike and he wasn't down at all. I can see being down 1/2 quart with a total mileage of 1100 miles (maybe) but not in the 700 miles since the oil change. Like a dummy I didn't check the fluids after the initial service. It looks clean, but I'm planning a 1200 mile trip next week and am not quite sure if this is normal...if you experienced guys think its okay, I guess I'll have to make room in my bags to carry oil! Any opinions appreciated...,1. Sounds like the mechanic didnt do his job right. 2. Just have your hubby do it. cheaper and you know its done right.......,,,
