Question about Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Notebook
Easy fix. Just go to toshiba then to support. go`through the selection to get you your model support and downloads. Filter by operatings sytem ie XP and start downloading (everything ;-])
The first one you want to run is the INF or system board drivers. These let XP indentiy what the hardware is. So instead of unknown device or unkown ethernet deice it will come up with the correct description. You usually have to reboot. Then just start loading the other drivers.
The easiest way to do this is to download the drivers to a usb flash drive. Then just stick that in the laptop and use my computer to start each one. You need to do the inf first, then maybe network. sometimes there are multiple drivers so its handy to just download and try one of the others instead of having to copy them over.
When you get everything running save the drivers to a cd for the next time.
