Question about Rheem Water Heater LP Gas Valve
Did the gas company check the pressure?
propane = "11" to 13" water collumn
natural gas = 3" to 4.5" water collumn
I have actually had the valve go bad, replaced, everything worked great.
also check the thermocouple. this is a cheap repair and the most common problem. if this doesn't solve the problem, then I would replace the gas valve. it is rare, but they do go bad. even had a bad one on a brand new water heater.
as far as water in the line, this too is very rare.
