My 1994 BMW 740i will not run but motor is cranking turning over and trying to start to run like lack of fule.


Try spraying carb. cleaner in throttle body while turning the key. If this works, most likely have a bad fuel pump. Good Luck

here is a paicture of the pump, it is held into the engine with 2 bolts, once the lines are removed and the 2 bolts a push rod that operates the pump will fall out, goob grease all over the push rod and put it back in the hole, clearn the gasket surface with a razor blade or gasket knife apply sealer to the new gasket (use "HighTack") then install the pump and reconnect the lines, do not overtighten the fuel line clamp or overtighten the outlet line, use a specail wrench called a line wrench, failure to use this special tool will ruin the fuel line nut.

drop the fuel tank (2 bolts) remove sending unit. install new unit. put tank back in. easy job with an enpty tank :)

My car was out of fule now I have put 10l of fule on him but I cant get any pressuer in the fule line


When you ran out of fuel, you must have BUrned up the pump.. Gasoline is cool,,, and it helps keep the pump COOL. Therefore, by running out of fuel,,,

Hello,

First thing.. take the fuel lines loose and turn the key to the on posistion and see if the fuel comes out of the line. It sounds to me like you may have fuel pump issues...

My 2003 TDI vw is losing the fuel out of the fuel line and I do not know why can not see any leaks. The car just will not start after it sits for a couple of days. I can bleed the car threw the injectors...


its not loosing the fule its running back into the tank, you have an air leak in the suckshion side of the fule line, a pin hole some were or a leaking joint it could even be in the fule pump itself or the fule filter "o" ring is leaking air but thats were the problem is try fitting a none return velve to the fule pipe upto the pump

The engine will not run unless you pour gas in the carb. It ran before i charged the fuel line which was rotted off. It is 2 cycle blower vacuum and i do not have the model nomber handy


its that new fule line you put in,,,its not letting any fule down to the carb you have proved there is nothing wrong with the engine, by tipping fule into the carb,,,,
have another go at fitting the new fule line,,, rember to put on the fule filter on the end that gos inside the fule tank if its not on it the pipe will not lay in the fule tank right and wont pick up any fule out the tank,,,
i bet thats were you went wrong?

I have a roybi 31cc weed eater and the fule line has become brittle and has broken apart. I need to know the layout of the new plastic fule line. I purchased a new fule line at Lowe's. I do not know wich...


STEP (1) The fuel supply line has the filter attached inside the fuel tank. The other end of that line goes on the carburetor's SUPPLY NIPPLE.

STEP (2) Determine the primer bulb's flow direction by pumping it under water. The unused nipple on the carb (IF STEP 1 WAS DONE CORRECTLY THERE IS ONE UNUSED NIPPLE STILL AVAILABLE ON THE CARB) will have a section of fuel line attached to it and running to the SUCTION NIPPLE (or pull-side, as some techs call it) of the primer bulb.

STEP(3) The final piece of fuel line goes from the OUTPUT NIPPLE (or push-side, as some techs call it) of the primer bulb and is routed back into the fuel tank as a return.

If plumbed properly, the primer should PULL fuel thru the carb and NOT pump any fuel into the engine. Excess fuel should be pumped back into the tank on each and every press of the primer.

Stalls when giving it gas


these were hard to fix when they were new in 1990, question:::: does it run and rev-up hi normally in neutral/park??? with a timing light does the distributor show full advance???you claim "CUTS-OUT", like back-firing ??you may need to test the COIL, TPS (throttle position sensor) and LOOM to isolate the cause,.. try those and let me know the outcome....GL
