We have a 4-line (25414RE3-A) phone with a cordless (H5400RE3-A) handset registered to it. We also have a 2-line (25202RE3-B) phone connected to the same phone lines through a phone line splitter. When the phone rings, all three phone ring and we can answer the call from any of the three phones. The problem I am having is with putting calls on hold and picking them up from another phone. Putting a call on hold from any of the three phones and then picking up "line 1" from the 4-line corded or 2-line corded works fine. The problem is if I put a call on hold from one of the corded phone I cannot pick up the call on the cordless handset. If I try to get the call off hold via the cordless handset by clicking on "Line" then "1" button I get the error message: "Line in use". If I just try to get the call off hold by pressing the "Talk" button I get the message: "error: inhibited". Either way I never am able to connect to the on hold call from the cordless handset.

The sreen will show "Yes" and "No" sign. Press arrow key once to select "Yes" then press "Select" key. The sreeen will show "Registerring.." , at this time press "Page" key on the corded or base phone and hold it for a few seconds until you hear a beeping sound. How do I register a cs6114 phone

Do you need to register a handset? Make sure the battery is fully charged on the handset and remove the handset from the base. With the phone not in use, press and hold the Find Handset button on the base. After about 4 seconds, the In Use light should light up. Now press the # key on the handset that you need to register. It should say Registering and then complete the registration within 60 seconds. This will only work if the base has power and is connected to a working phone line.

If you need to register the phone with Vtech, go to http://www.vtechphones.com/support/general/product-registration .

I hope this helps.

Display keeps saying 'searching'

I don't have this model but I have had two Siemens phone systems. Typically, when the handset says "Searching" it is trying to connect to the base station (the part actually connected to the phone line). This can happen if the handset is too far from the base station to connect to it wirelessly. It can also happen if the handset has become unregistered from the base station (or was never registered to begin with). If the distance issue is not the problem, look in your documentation for how to register the handset and give that a try.

I have three handset cordless phone only the main base phone work the other two says connecting when you turn it on but it wont connect it have loss its connection with the base phone

Often the handsets must be re-registered when they won't work. Sometimes they have to be de-registered, then re-registered before getting them to work. Uniden has many different model number 5.8 GHz cordless phones, send a comment with the model number and I will give specific help on your cordless. I have included a link where Uniden cordless manuals can be downloaded if you need it.

Don't I have to connect the phone to a telephone line? I don't see where i can place a phone wire in the phone. Also, I have the handset in the base but it doesn't say that it is registering. It keeps...

Often the line cord connection is on the back of the base unit or underneath, usually near where the AC cord plugs into the base unit that powers it. The handset needs to charge before it will be ready to use, sometimes for 12 hours. If after charging, it still is not registered automatically then try manually registering it to the base unit per the directions in the manual.

Uniden TCX905 cCordess phone Handsets # 3 and 4

If the handsets are not currently registered to any base, the SYSTEM RESET menu won't appear.

If the TCX905 handsets in question are actually expansion handsets from another Uniden Phone System, they are not true TCX905 handsets. To verify, remove the battery cover and battery, then look at the inside label. If it lists the model of a TRU9xxx phone system, your handsets are NOT TCX905.

Uniden unfortunately has programmed the expansion handsets from SINGLE LINE TRU9xxx phone systems to NOT REGISTER against the TRU9466. (Those same handsets register fine against predecessor model TRU8866 though).

Vtech M6896 phones do not work

Step 1: Press and hold FIND HANDSET on the main telephone base for 10 seconds.

Step 2: When the IN USE light starts to flash, release the FIND HANDSET button.

Step 3: Press and release FIND HANDSET again. The IN USE light will turn off and in a few seconds, all handsets will be de-registered.

Step 4: All handsets will show NOT REGISTERED.

To register a handset (register 1 handset at a time):
Step 1: Place the handset in the base unit or a charger that is connected to a power outlet. If PRESS FIND HNDST 4 SEC ON BASE does not appear on the screen after a few seconds, lift up handset and place in base or charger again.

Step 2: On the telephone base, press and hold FIND HANDSET for four seconds. Release FIND HANDSET once the IN USE light comes on.

After a while the handset will emit a series of tones, the newly registered handset will be assigned the lowest extension number not previously assigned to another system handset (1-4) when successfully registered. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 if the handset does not successfully register to the telephone base within two minutes.

Phone is not recording all messages left

The 25414RE3 isn't the model with the answering machine. The one that has the answering machine is the 25415RE3.

As for the problem, does the answering machine part of the unit actually pick up the line? Does it announce your pre-recorded message? Does it just not record the caller's response?
