Right you are! The sensor is reading that high so the ignition module is telling the heater not to fire because the water is to hot. You can find this on the water manifold then just follow the wires back to the board. Plug a new one in and run the wires and you will be done.

Hs error code what does it mean?

Water Temperature Sensing Error

A) Inlet water temperature sensor is reporting a temperature in excess of 104 degrees. Normal operation resumes 2 minutes after inlet water temperature sensor reports temperatures of 104 degrees or less. This error functions in both normal and remote thermostat modes.
or

B) Inlet water temperature sensor is reporting a temperature change at a rate faster than 6 degrees in 60 seconds, indicating a potentially damaging low water flow condition. Normal operation resumes when temperatures stabilize. If this condition is detected 3 times, the heater will lock-out until the electrical power is cycled off and back on.

Heater won't start up. display shows 111 degrees but spa is cold

Your temp sensor has gone bad. You will find it on the left side of the water header (Where the pipes come into the heater) It is a small tube with two wires coming from it. Simpley slide a new one into place and plug into the board. Good luck.

Heats up to 4 degrees and goes no further...Yikes.

Have the same heater, I changed the temp sensor and it fixed the problem. Low PH damages the sensor. I think I paid $25 for the sensor.

Water Temprature read 126 on heater and will not fire. Pool temp @ 72 degrees. Heater set for spa @ 101 degrees. SR400NA Sta-Rite Heater

This is a problem with your thermister (heat sensor) You will find this on the left side of the water manifold about half way down. I'm not sure but I think it is a small tube that slides into the manifold and if you follow the wires back to the board it just plugs in. The part is reasonable priced for a heater part and very easy to install. Good luck.

Temperature reads 125 degrees.

I am not sure if you have solved this issue, or not, but just in case. The problem is the Thermister, or temp sensor. That will need to be replaced since it is reading the water temp at 125.

The Thermister is located on the manifold, left hand side, between the first two bolts. It is pretty easy to change out and this will correct the problem.
