Question about Panasonic SC-HT700 System

1 Answer

DVD Problem My problem is strange. The system works fine, sounds fine, and turns on ok. My problem is that after about 3-4 minutes a big translucent black rectangular box shows up on the bottom left corner of the screen. Once it pops up it won't go away. Now while I can see through it, it is rather annoying to say the least and I hate it. I hope you can help. I did the only thing I know how to do which is clean the lens. It didn't work so I am open to any suggestions. Thank You. Jc

Hi, You have to make sure you are using the "audio out" from the dvd/surround into the "audio in" on your TV also in some case TVs will need to change the "input" with your remote to see where you connected your dvd/sur also some TVs have a switch for "n" or "off" for internal speakers and also you could have that option in your audio menu on your TV, Hope it help, good luck. DVD turned off automatically after 5 minutes

If you still have warranty go back to your vendor to have it fixed. Also you can check if perhaps an auto-power off is enabled.

Sounds like the other DVD player went bonkers. Try unplugging power on the DVD player you were playing the game on for 5 minutes, then plug it back in.

Phillips 6500 home theater system

Turn the power off, and then unplug the home theater from the wall outlet. Plug it back in after about 30 seconds, and turn it back on. If it still won't eject, then the HTS needs repair. Philips will replace it if it is still in warranty.

No audio with CD/DVD but works fine with aux and FM

Check the cable between the media centre and bass module for signs of damage (if its buried in the wall / under the floor and you can't check it, assume it could be damaged).

however, this sounds like a fault with the Digital Analogue Converter - this coverts the digital audio on a disc to analogue information the amplifer can use to produce sound. Contact your retailer for exchange / repair.....

Subwoofer shuts down

Check the connection in the back of the sub, where your wire plugs in from the DVD unit, the connector is loose in the unit itself. Had mine replaced and is doing the same thing again

No sound

Unplug it then plug it back in, it will reset something and then will work fine, probably caused by a power surge or power outage. Hope this helps someone, God Bless.

Sony DAV-SA30 Sounds works for CD's but not for DVD's

Thats a strange problem.maybe your DVD lens wants to be cleaned try doing that.or try another DVD. if that do not work, then i can say that your player is not compatible with the program that your disc is burned with.
