My microwave runs but does not heat - Sharp R-1601 Microwave Oven

If when you try to cook the oven lamp comes on, but fan and turntable do not, then you have a bad bottom door switch or mount, and you should see these files:

A loud buzz, hum, or groan is usually a shorted high voltage rectifier diode, but a sound like gurgling into an empty coffee mug is one symptom of a failed magnetron, and yet the mag can be bad without that sound.
