Can't delete HOLD on line 1 of my 2-line cordless phone

I followed your instruction precisely, disconnected the power and cord, waited 10 minutes.

The result: The HOLD message on Line 1 disappeared, but so did the dial tone. Line 2 still has a dial tone.

There are no batteries on this cordless phone.

I am no a happy camper.

Fortunately I got through to my provider, disconnected then re-connected Linksys, and now both lines in are working. I am now a happy camper.

Hello.

Try resetting the base (disconnect the power and phone line for 10 minutes then reconnect).

If still a problem, changing the battery may resolve.

Hope this helps.

If line 1 has not returned, the next step is to contact your provider.

Yes, you can use a regular 2 line cordless phone with your 4 line corded systems. The only concern is when you put someone on hold. The on hold function may not release if you have different makes of phone. If you already have Panasonic get a Panasonic 2 line cordless phone with the on hold feature.

Yes, you can just take line 3 and plug it into your new fax. I might suggest looking into a fax to email service instead of buying a new fax. If you receive more than send it's a great way to save on the phone line and paper.

Digital phones are pretty secure, no one will accidentally hear your conversations. It is not encrypted but I think it would be perfectly fine in your office.

Can you retieve deleated messagegs from your phone

Hello! The answering machine will automatically save messages if you do not delete them; Even in the event of a power failure. It can hold 15 minutes of messages. After 15 minutes machine will "wrap" writing over the oldest message. An old message (listened to) can be deleted by holding erase for more than two seconds. Pressing Mailbox X (1-3) will delete all Old Messages in that box. Once deleted they are gone forever...

Need to put line 4 on a button, they already have L-1,L-2,L-3,HandsFree,Intercom

Thank you for your return response. To solve the problem I left the cordless sets plugged in to the base. Then I deleted all the feature keys on the cordless phones where I needed to put the lines. Then I went into the system programming to remove line 3 from one set and programmed L-4 on it. Then moved L-4 to line 4 new button location. Then did the same thing for L-5 and moved it to the next vac. button position. Then I went into programming to add L-3 back onto the L-3 position. And that is how it went.
