Is it normal to have substantial amount water remaining in the washer after final spin?

Hey friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

It is normal to have water in the tub after your Frigidaire washer has completed the final spin cycle. The water that is in the tub is there to help prime the pump. Hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Water enters after washing is over

If it's letting water in whle the machine is not in use, I would say you have a stuck water valve. It can allow a little water to tickle in, and over time, it'll fill up the tub

Tub is filling with water while off. is it the control valve inside the washing mach?

You need to check your water level switch. Make sure the clear hose that runs from the tub to the control panel is clear, not kinked or clogged and has not come loose at either end. Hope this helps

Neptune-is water supposed to remain, after wash is finished, between tub and outer shell

if you hear water when you spin the basket, that is the front tub balance ring.it is filled halfway with water in order to assist mach in balancing load.that is a normal sound.the mach may also leave some water between the basket and outer shell depending on lengh of drain hose.as long as the clothes do not come in contact with the water it is fine.

Washer spins but not enough to extract water from clothes or tub.

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
