You need to give more info, I'm afraid.

What type of phone do you have? What OS does it run? What kind of OS does your PC have? Did your adapter come with software? You say you can send files from your phone to your PC, but then you say that the PC doesn't the phone (?????!)

Since I don't have any clarification, here's some things you can try:

- Try shutting down and re-starting both your devices with the adapter still in. Try taking the adapater out, re-starting and then plugging the adapter in.

- Re-install or update the software for your adapter. If you decide to re-install, make sure you remove all th eold files completely. If it's plug and play, you can use device manager (assuming you have Windows) to find better software.

- Make sure your phone has the proper permissions set to receive files from your adapter. Since I do not know your phone model, try to google it.

- Try opening Bluetooth Devices in Control Panel. Click on Options and make sure you've enabled the PC to accept files from your mobile.

Bluetooth isn't two way automatic communication. Both devices that are using Bluetooth to communicate must individually have permissions set for the receiving of files from each device it connects to. You can send files all day long, but if the device youre sending to isnt set up to receive, it obviously won't work. Make sure you've enabled it in both the PC and the mobile.

Good luck.

How to Transfer Pictures or Video from your Cellphone/Mobile to your Computer

With the increasing quality of Cellphone camera's , more and more people are wanting to copy their pictures from their phone's to their computers.

There are basically 4 ways to accomplish this.

  1. USB Cable
  2. Bluetooth
  3. Card Transfer
  4. E-mail
# 1 USB Cable

One of the most convenient ways to transfer your pictures is to use the USB cable if your phone was supplied with one. If your phone was not bought with a cable , you can purchase the cable from the store where the the phone was bought.

You will usually also need the manufacturer's software like Nokia pc suite for Nokia phones which can be downloaded from the website of the manufacturer. Here is a list for the most popular phone brands sites.

Nokia
Samsung
Sony-Erricson
Motorola
LG

Many phones also support the option to use the phone as a flash drive so to speak. When you insert a cable , the mobile would typically ask in what mode to use the cable in for instance : Print , Storage or Nokia mode. If you select the storage mode , you may transfer your pictures from the phone the same way you would from a flash drive.

# 2 Bluetooth

If you are using a laptop or bluetooth enabled PC , using bluetooth can also be a handy way to transfer your pictures. To do this , enable bluetooth on you computer and from the taskbar , right click on the bluetooth icon and select recieve a file.

d21f2a5.gif

Then on your phone , go the the picture or video you want to send and select options and send via bluetooth. This will vary from phone to phone , so look around for the send with bluetooth option.

Your phone will then search for a computer in range and once you have found your computer , hit the send button.

The transfer will then take place and your computer will ask you where to save the image.

# 3 Card Transfer

Most phones these days have a removable memory card. This is a easy way to transfer a large amount of content from your phone to your computer.

Simply remove the SD or Micro SD card from your phone (refer to your manual) and insert it into a external card reader or your laptop's built in card reading unit.

You may also need a micro to sd converter which can be bought either with a micro SD card or separately from most chain department stores.

636e16a.jpg
You will then be able to transfer the content like you would from your digital camera.

# 4 E-mail

If your cellphone supports e-mail and it is set up , and you only need to transfer one or two pictures , e-mail can be very helpful.

To do this , go to the image you wish to send and in the options , select send via e-mail. This option differs between brands and models so check your manual. You can then simply send the picture to your PC e-mail address and retrieve the image from there.

Please remember to rate this tip if you found it useful.

Kind Regards

Trasfer vedio from pc to nokia 230i how

Hi there,

You can transfer a video from your PC to your Nokia Mobile Phone by doing one of the following:

1) If you have a memory card reader installed in your computer, you can remove the memory card from your mobile phone and insert it in to the memory card reader. The memory card will then be shown in "My Computer", now you can "Copy and Paste" videos in to the memory card or you can right click on the video that you wish to transfer and select "Send to" and then select your memory card, it should be called something like "E: Removable Disk".

2) If you have a Bluetooth or an Infrared device installed on your computer, you can send it via Bluetooth or Infrared. You will need to turn your Bluetooth or Infrared "ON" on your phone and set the Visibility to "ON". Then transfer the video that you wish to send.

3) You can connect your mobile phone to your computer. To send a video to your phone, you will need to install a driver for your phone which can be downloaded from here: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD DRIVER. Then you will be able to send the video to your mobile phone with no problem.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day and please remember to rate this solution.

I cant put my pictures from my w580i on to the computer help please

Hello Katie!

First of all, connect your mobile phone to your PC (using USB cable or Bluetooth). If using a USB cable, you can access your mobile phone through your PC and so you can cut or copy/paste your pictures from your phone to your PC (create a specific folder for a group of pictures for easier access the next time). If using a Bluetooth, be sure you activate both devices' (your PC and your mobile) Bluetooth and then access your pictures at your mobile phone then right-click each picture and choose send via Bluetooth then select your PC's Bluetooth. You may need to enter a passcode, try 1 or 0. Or refer to your mobile phone's user manual. Hope this helps...

Want to send picture from phone to computer

Can you not use bluetooth to send pictures from phone to computer. Search on your mobile phones menu to see if there is bluetooth and enable it. If your mobile is not bluetooth enabled, you may still be able to send pictures from phone to pc if there is a USB cable slot in the phone. To send to the pc via bluetooth, either your pc has been set up with bluetooth, or, if not, you have
to install bluetooth using a bluetooth dongle which comes with CDrom, and may be purchased from computer stores like Currys or online for £10-15. Let me know if you have bluetooth, and I'll help you more. Once there is Blue tooth it needs to be turned on, and discovery mode has to be enabled, (not disabled) in order to communicate with other nearby bluetooth enabled devices. How to download pictures taken on the mobile to a pc

I can't tell you the exact procedure because you didn't mention any mobile brand or model. If you'd mentioned it would easy for me.

However, normally 2 things are needed for connecting mobilephones to a pc. 1, Data cable for that phone and 2. A software relevant to that brand. For example, a) Nokia- Nokia PC Suite b) Motorola- Motorola Phone Tools c) Siemens- Mobile Phone Manager etc.

If your phone has bluetooth or infrared and your computer also has those transfering devices than you can also send pic to PC without any soft or cable.
