Question about Televison & Video
You need to unplug set for a few minutes, plug back in and try the self check again---set comes on and then power light goes off--if you unplugged set before you tried it----it will always be 1,2 which is NO ERROR DETECTED.
Typical is: 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat several times. You need to watch closely---if it is really 1,2 something odd is wrong as if power light goes off--it is shutdown and for a reason.
If power light remained on, you would get 1,2---no error.
2,2 for example is short protection and usually means a problem in the convergence circuit.
Let me know what error you find, unplug set and plug back in and try self check again.

The blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one
Hope this helped
