Question about Cameras
Even if i flip the switch on the side of the card it still says its unlocked and my computer wont even read it when i directly connect it to my computer. i gave it to my friend to bring to his camera shop and his boss tried 3 different programs to try and read the disk but it still will not work
It sounds like you covered your bases, but you could try putting a piece of tape over the write protection switch and see if this works. If the tape doesn't work then there is most likely a defect in the memory card and you are going to need to replace it, and I would contact the manufacturer to see if it is under any warranty, and if it is they will often just send you out a new one.

I just fixed mine had the same problem. Basically you have to take it apart the little lock slide pushes on a little pin which grounds out the card aka locking it if you take it apart carefully, you can take a small screwdriver and bend the tab out a little bit so it doesnt touch. I did it and mine works great now.
