Question about Televison & Video
You can't change that, your player is capable of sending only SD (480i) images. If the tv is incapable of receiving that then something is wrong at a hardware level in one of them. To test the player is easy, just use the Composite exit and another cable to plug it in another tv, if it doesn't work the just junk it, it can't be fixed.
If the player works then use the same cable and the same Composite jack to plug it in the Samsung. If it doesn't work there then the tv is faulty - take it back immediately. If it works now then the cable you used before is faulty or was plugged incorrectly. Just use the present cable and nothing else.
