Can't see subtitles of movie

We've been trying to watch subtitled movies and aren't able to see all of the subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Is this a tv problem or a dvd problem? How could we switch the screen to letterbox? We don't have a tv manual. Thanks!

Ughhhh.....I'm in the same boat! I'm so bummed......we called our cable company on the off chance that it was a cable thing. They were very helpful and tried to give some tips but nothing has worked. I'd appreciate any help!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

How do I turn subtitles on for a movie

That would depend on the movie and on what you're watching it on. First of all, not all movies come with subtitles. If there are no subtitles then there's nothing you can do to turn them on.
If you're watching on a DVD, look in the main menu. If there are subtitles then you'll usually turn them on in the "Languages" or "Special Features" submenu.
If you're streaming the movie from some online source then you'll have to look at the menu provided by that source.
