Tripping circuit breaker

That unit shows that it takes 15 or 20 AMPS to run. What is the breaker amperage on the circuit where it is plugged in? Is the breaker a GFCI? You can tell by looking for the two buttons on the circuit breaker or the outlet.

Microwave sounds as though a motor is constantly running. Actually comes on when buttin pressed, runs about 20 seconds, smell odd, trips breaker.

From your description it is more than likely the magnetron has failed, the part replacement is the most expensive and can run as much as a new microwave oven in some cases.

There is a loud buzzing sound and it trips the breaker after 10 seconds of operation. What is the problem?

Typically a bad magnetron. They draw a lot of power when they go bad and trip the breakers or fuses inside the micro. Very fixable

15A breaker tripping; Is this the right size breaker for the unit?

The breaker is sized according to the size of the wire used in the circuit. The breakers task is to protect the wire from an over current.
The allowed sizes are
#14 wire .... 15 amp breaker
#12 wire ..... 20 amp breaker
#10 wire .. 30 amp breaker
To check if the oven and circuit are compatable .. run an extension for the oven to an outlet outside the kitchen and see if it holds.

Trips circuit breaker

Make sure it is on a 20 amp circuit with NOTHING else creating a load.

A 15 amp circuit is USUALLY not enough.

If it trips a 20 amp all by itself it probably has a failure that needs servicing.

Chek the high voltage capacitor and the diode . If one of them are short there is a chance for tripping the breaker

In that case the outlet your using is pushing out too much electricity. Try calling your local electric company for help or a professional electric repair man.

LG LRM2060ST trips circuit breaker sometimes

needs to have circuit of its own rated @ 20 amps powered by # 12-2-wg wire , also very good idea to plug into a good surge protector to protect its control board, as any computer the boards are very susceptible to spike voltage caused by lightning and power problems , as to how it worked before , breakers vary a little in the amount of current it takes to trip them with age , the number of time they have to be reset and heat they have been subjected to over a period of time so it is not unusual for say one 20 amp breaker to trip @ 16 and another @19 for example also the length of wire between the breaker and the appliance can effect the trip range
