Question about HP Pavilion DV2500T 14.1" NOTEBOOK LAPTOP PC (Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.20 GHz/4MB L2 Cache, 3GB RAM,... (RM922AAR1)

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion dv2500t notebook. All of sudden i started facing a display problem. It shows five -six small window in the desktop with so many vertical lines. sometimes when i reboot, it worked for few minutes with bad color and then again it gets back to multiple small window. It has : - 14.1" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800) - 64MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS Please let me know what might be wrong or what should i do at this point? Why not post a photo, telling what all pixels do on screen is so impossible, use photos and magic happens, we can see it.
take a cell phone photo of it messed up, and then put it here.

get help from folks that can see it?
my wild guess, is the display is bad.
if you gently twist the bezel on said display does it change lines
bingo bad display. LCD
(or bad cable to in inside or bad chip driving said cable bad.
why not plug in and external screen to the rear VGA jack
does that always, work yes, the it can be just a bad screen.

here im typing lap top screen bad, see all those bad screens/?

Sounds like a Video Card problem. You can try booting to safe mode and see if it does it from there. Software Drivers are not loaded during safe mode, so If its just the driver then you shouldn't experience the problem. If it is hardware, then the problem should persist.

Software Driver problem = can be fixed by updating the driver software. Hardware problem = Replacement.

A similar problem with my HP DV2700 notebook (vista)

most likely you screen is damaged and will need to be replaced. have you tried starting up in safe mode. connect it to a dextop monitor and see if it works.

I lost my window

Start tapping the F11 key after you turn the computer on to see if it will go into system recovery mode. If it does, just follow the instructions

HP Pavilion dv2500 no display when power lights not blinking


To get the display on the TV . Please press Fn + F4 after connected TV to the Notebook using Svideo cable and the cable should be connected to the Svideo port of the Notebook.

If there is not display on the Notebook after the Svideo cable burns.
Then please perform the following steps.

= Power Drain =

1. Disconnect the AC Adapter.
2. Remove the Battery.
3. Hold the Power button down for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
4. Reconnect the AC adapter and Battery.
5. Turn on the Notebook power.

If the issue persists then check whether the display is same on the external monitor.

I hope this will work.
