It is possible that a connector was jared out of position, or the circuit board, or a connector socket was broken, or some other vital part was broken from the fall.

This may be expensive to fix.

You dropped it and that is the problem, it is junk. Repair cost will exceed price of good camera.

I dropped my canon powershot SD 4500 IS and now it won't turn on! It's survived countless other falls just fine, and would turn on immediately then. All times, including this time, have been when...

Really!....you've dropped your camera "countless" other times and now you're concerned because this time, it won't turn on!!! You're not sure what else to do?!!! How about not dropping your camera. How about using the wrist strap. Your dropping luck has run out...your camera does not have nine lives.

Camera wont turn on

If the camera was dropped, the circuit board or some other part inside was probably damaged. The camera would require factory level service. First verify what you paid for the camera, and then get an estimate. You may find it more worth while to replace the camera.

As for myself, I dropped a digital camera, and the lens was damaged. The repair cost was over 80% of the cost of a new camera.

Dropped sony camera randomly turns on batery is

The drop likely damaged the lens tube (housing) or jarred the zoom mechanism off of its track. Either condition causes the camera to shut down to prevent further damage. There is no safe DIY fix, but the camera can be professionally repaired. Contact Sony through their web site or visit a local camera shop (not the department store) and get a repair estimate -- you will need to decide if the camera is worth the cost of the repair.

Camera was dropped and now won't turn on. Battery

Have you charged the battery since the drop? If not plug it in and charge it...

After that if the camera still isn't turning on then I'm sorry to say the camera is most likely busted.

But if you can get your hands on a spare battery as well give that a try.

Good luck!

Samsung s860 camera got dropped turns on but screen is only white

dropping the camera might have caused damage to your LCD screen, best advise I could give is to send it in for repair

check if you can still view old pictures or if the on screen displays are visible, it will narrow down if the problem is with the lens or the screen

hope this helps

Remove all batteries out of camera.
Turn camera in the "on" position then check back after three days.

Turn off camera.
Install fresh batteries.
Turn on camera.

Was this camera near any water or dropped?
