Audio and DVD Drive is not working after re-installing the operating system Windows XP Service Pack 2 on Lenovo H3000 series

if your computer came with a disk the sound drivers could be on it
control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make the necessary adjustments there or control
panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound video and game controllers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers
as for the dvd drive
make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or
your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in or
you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device
control panel admistrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall

if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem

Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

if you installed a new hard drive.. did you also installed windows on that new hd? if you did.. you may need to also install the sound card drivers.

the sound from your speakers depend on the sound card on your computer, and the sound card works only if you install the drivers that are specific for that sound card/computer. if you need help finding the drivers post back you computer specs (model, brand etc) and operating system and we'll help you find the drivers that may need to be reinstalled.

TomTom One series 30 won't reset

It sounds like you have lost the operating system or the flash memory card has gone bad. Make sure your unit is fully charged and try again. Then connect your device to your computer. If it comes up in my computer right click the drive and check properties to see how much space is availiable on the drive. If it says 0 the flash has gone bad, I have a 20 series tt that this happened to. My solution was to insert a sd card (at least 2 gb.) into the sd card slot found under the sticker no sd card requaired on the bottom of the tt. TT home then installed the operating system but the downside is if you have not made a backup od your tt you will have to buy new maps (not cheap).
Hope this helps

Vista drivers for 5730 available here. Driver name indicates it is for the 5700 series, so this should work. Be sure and download and install the Tool Box (under Software) also.

MSCE

Sir,

If you go to a good class, you will have labs to practice on there, and they will also invite you to come back on to re-take classes or hopefully even have extra time each week set aside for you to practice on. There are licensing issues involved in giving you software copies, and frankly the classes are expensive enough without them throwing that in too. Sounds like you may not have gotten a good deal on your classes though.

Good news is, yes, the Microsoft official study guides for the MCSE series are pretty darn spiffily good. I used them in getting my MCDST and some of the tests for my MCSA (my employer pitched in for some MCSA classes, so I didn't buy the books there). You'll find that Microsoft has come up with a good way around the "practice software" thing and includes a copy of Server 2003 with a 90 day license in with at least some of the books. (Perhaps not all in the series, I can't quote that I suppose, but quite a few.) Even if you somehow get a copy that doesn't have that (say you buy used), you can get evaluation copies designed to work with the free Microsoft Virtual PC software at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windo... (Yes, it's only a 30 day license for that... but, it's a virtual server; just delete what you've been using after the 30 days, install fresh again, you have a little more time to play with it.)

Let me commend you while we're at it for wanting to actually learn the material, not just pass the test. Trust me, passing tests is nice, but it won't help you keep the job you might get with the certification. If you aren't sure about the MS books even after this answer, just buy one. I think they're only $30 something at Amazon, not a bad investment to check out the series and see if the books might actually be for you.

Best of luck getting your MCSE!
