Question about Bosch 24 in. SHE44C02UC / SHE44C06UC / SHE44C07UC Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Hello, I've got a Bosch dishwasher that is acting really funny. I've had it for 4 years. It's 630 SHE44C06UC model. It powers and I hear it run, but the cycle ends w/ 1 but it runs forever...and doesn't rinse or drain. Cancel drain works, but there are spots. I have rinse agent, it fills, drains, etc. I'm wondering if someone knows how I could reset it before calling a repair man? It doesn't seem to dry either? Any help? Thanks, Steph

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description I'd say the issue is with the control...unfortunately.

The number"1" being displayed ( on models with the display ) is actually an error code indicating a fault in the heating process.

Bosch has had a history of this exact problem I'm about to lay out for you and this is the first thing I'd be looking for if called out to service the unit with the symptoms you've described.

As I've alluded to the issue is likely within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ).

My first suggestion would be calling in an authorized bosch service tech. if that is an option for you and your budget however, If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself.

It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board.

The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay,

**Flip this over and inspect the solder joints, it will be obvious when you see it.**

This ones new, but it'sHello, I've got a Bosch dishwasher that is acting - 9119d99.jpgook...

...hence the unit sit`s and takes longer & longer to finish because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed, other-times it will eventually stop or display "1".

You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and theHello, I've got a Bosch dishwasher that is acting - f57273b.jpgh indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.

**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last, although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**

**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.**

As you alluded to though, sometimes one needs to call a tech. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.

Hope this answer`s your question, let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness.

Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

How do i run a test / diagnostic mode for the bosch sge63e05uc (evolution series) dishwasher?

Are the instructions on how to run the diagnostic test listed in the manual? FYI, I couldn't run the test on my Bosch DW because it was just too broken. Over the years the dishwasher essentially fried its own circuit board with excessive heat, which I learned is a problem common to Bosch DW's. Bosch told me the lifespan of my model was 10 years; mine was 11 years old (but was repaired once or twice). I replaced it with a Miele; no problems yet after 4 1/2 months.

Bosch SHE44C06UC/22 won't fill with water even though you hear water running somewhere.

Check to make sure there is no residual water underneath the unit, they have a flood sensor and if it is picking up water in the motor area it won;t run.

How do you run the diagnostic on a bosch dishwasher model # SHE44C06Uc/22. it counts down to one on the timer and runs forever. can't find it model # diagnostics anywhere. thanks

Resoldering the relay, regardless of how proficient one is at soldering, will not be a long term solution. The melted/burned solder joint is a secondary result of the initial failure, which is the relay itself. There is a solution that is more permanent and less costly than replacing the control with a new one.
Do a search for Bosch 266746 control and you will locate someone who has studied the problem and found a safe, long term solution.

You need a new microprocessor. Same thing happened to me. Normal cycle runs down to one minute and stops there, running, for maybe another hour or more. Then, when it finally ends, the dishes are not clean or dry. Get the microprocessor replaced. It is Chinese junk. It is an easy fix, but the replacement will last only four or five years.

Have BOSCH diswasher model SHE44C06UC/22 and it continues to cycle but never drys

Hi,
That could either be a problem with the control module or the heating element...my first guess would be the heating element... as it is looking to sense it working and does not...

Bosch dishwasher shx55m with bottom tub full of water

The dishwasher really shouldn't pass any particles near large enough to clog the drain hose. It sounds more like a mechanical issue. Check the circuit breaker to make sure it's not tripped. See if you can hit a cancel button or something to make it drain. Try to run another cycle. If the computer is stuck or acting funny, trying cutting the power for a while, holding down a stop/reset/cancel button, or running a cycle that you don't usually run. I had this kitchenaid that would randomly refuse the normal wash cycle, but would run fine when you ran rinse only or something, then regular wash and everything would be fine again too. If the line somehow is clogged, there's a good chance it's right where the hose connects to the disposal or drain pipe.
