Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Gold trial i went to the dashboard logged out of my profile, then went to recover gamer tag, i went through the process and at the end it brought me back to the dashboard, i loaded COD4 and went to multiplayer, and then to XBOX Live. I selected the gamer tag that i had just gone through that process with and instead of signing in the message - Notice : this account is not allowed on Xbox live. then all it gives me is an option to exit. Not exactly sure why it wont work on silver after it down grades from the gold trial. Im thinking about going out and buying a gold subscription and maybe that will make it work. Thanks

The only solution for this is to contact the customer support of xbox. First, you have to provide your account information so that they will be able to verify that it really is yours, then they will be forwarding the call to their supervisor who will be informing you about the next step. There is no work around here but for you to contact them. - 18004myxbox

Have you tried the recover game tag options? I would suggest this if you did not purchase a gold membership. By the way gold memberships can be purchased on ebay for a fraction of the cost of retail outlets, plus you get emailed the key almost instantly. Actually faster than going to the store..
