Question about liftmaster Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Transmitter 300MC

2 Answers

My 373LM Liftmaster remote does not work suddenly. Other remote, wall control switch and my car door opener works perfectly. I am sure it is isolated to just this particular remote. I doubt it is battery problem as I hardly use this remote. It is a spare for guest. It just stop working. Appreciate your help.

I would replace the battery anyway. Even with no use batteries drain over time. That's the easiest troubleshooting step and more than likely the problem. Once that's eliminated we can try harder solutions.

The motor/control unit may have gotten reset. It needs to relearn the codes transmitted by the remotes.

MIne has a "learn" button on the control unit. Press and hold, then press the button on the remote. Lights will flash indicating it has received and stored the code. Release button.

Check to see if the remote works now. If so, all three should be working. If not, dig up your manuals.

Make sure the light in the wall control isn't blinking. That would be an indication that the lock function is on. To turn it off, press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

Yes, you need to press and hold the purple learn button on the back of your garage door opener and hit the button you want to program in order to reset the remote control.

Check the wall console. If it has a lock button and the LED is flashing, the GDO is locked. None of the remotes will work, only the wall button. If it is locked, press the lock button and hold for a couple seconds and release. The LED should stop flashing, and the remotes should start to work.
If the door will open but not close, and the lights flash 5 times, check the door sensors. Make sure the sensors are aligned with each other, and the LEDs are both on.

My wall mounted opener/closer has stopped working. It is hard wired to the opener, not remote. This unit also has buttons forLock and Light. Thank you J B Ward

REMOVE THE UNIT FROM THE WALL AND DISCONNECT THE WIRES.

GO TO THE BACK OF THE POWERHEAD AND CONNECT IT DIRECT WITH SHORT WIRES (POLARITY IS IMPORTANT HERE) TO TEST IF THE UNIT NOW WORKS. IF IT WORKS REPLACE THE EXISTING WIRES - THEY MAY BE SMASHED WITHIN THE WALL OR UNDER A STAPLE THAT IS TOO TIGHT.

IF THE ABOVE TEST DOES NOT WORK REPLACE THE WALL CONTROL UNIT.

HOPE THIS HELPS

My Liftmaster 373LM remote and wireless 377LM Keypad not working

You should have a small wire hanging down from the back of the opener. This is the remote control antenna wire. Strip off about and inch splice a wire to it. The connections is just twisting the wires together. Run the extended wire up to the ceiling and down the wall where the door is located. Most of the time in the top corners where the weather stripping is, there is a small gap. Slip the wire through the gap so the wire extends outside of the door. The key to this is getting the wire outside. 99% of the time this extension of the antenna will be enough to conquer interference issues. You are correct that you are running on 315mhz and the military will not affect it. Let me know if it helps

It sounds like your vacation lock is on. This should not be engaged if you have to other way in. You will have to find another way in. You can unwire the wall station and put up a door bell type button so this won't happen again. At door dealerships you can get an emergency keyed release too that allows you to pull the red release cord with a key from the outside, 50 bucks or so. Thanks BB
