Try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

good luck

External keeps telling me not responding

Assuming your talking about an "external" storage device, such as a hard-drive over a USB connection... If the device isn't responding, and ASSUMING it doesn't need external power, and "should" operate over USB (most do)... then it's damaged. If it needed to be formatted, would get a different message. If it's locking up the computer, and not's simply bad and needs to be returned. Sorry :-(

My maxtor 500gb usb hard drive is not responding when I plug to my pc, so I can't access to any of my file

-make sure that the cables from the ext hard drive is properly connected like power if there is and USB -try other USB port -try other USB devices -try other USB cable for that Maxtor -try other computer
the reason why you are doing that is to know if the USB port is broken of if the ext hard drive is not responding.

My maxtor external hard drive stop responding. How do I getit back? I've changed it from it's original USB slot. I have the Maxtor OneTouch II, 100GB, 8MB CACHE, 7200 RPM

Usually Matox is very fragile, it responds to any little error. Does it make any funny sound inside it?

Check the usb wire if it is ok, or you leave it for a while and try it later to see if it responds.

Plug it to your system using an IDE cable, go to your computer setup to see if your system recognizes it. If it does not then try setting the jumper at the back of the hard disk. But if your system recognizes it, use a start up to format it and monitor the formatting if it shows "recovering allocation unit" if it does, it means the hard disk has Bad sector(s) which might be the reason why it is not responding. So you will have to partition it and use the part of the hard disk that does not have bad sector.

What usually cause an hard-disk to have a bad sector is:
  1. When a system is not shut down properly
  2. When power goes off the system unexpectedly
  3. When you remove from the usb without ejecting or safely removing first. (That is while using it as an external drive). and so on.....
I wish you the best.

320 GB Inoi media hard drive will not play on TV

Make sure you are using the original composite cable and check the connections.
If you are using a SCART cable check the connections.
Also make sure the remote control is responding to media player.
Check the drive responds when you press the “STANDBY” button on the remote.
If the drive responds then the remote is working fine. If not change the battery and see whether it helps.

Also try on another TV and see whether it works. If not back up all the data on the drive and format it and see whether it helps.

All the best!

Remote won't connect with the 320gb Inoi media player

Can you please tell me, whether the drive responds when you press the “STANDBY” button on the remote?
If the drive responds then the remote is working fine and the actual unit is faulty. If the drive does not respond then the remote is faulty. You need to buy or get a replacement from the seller.

All the best!
