Can anyone help in resolving the problem I am having with cect p168 cell phone? The touch screen is not working. It may have happened after resetting the phone. I have tried adjusting the sensitivity levels but the problem still exist. Is there a software update to fix this problelm or is it a hardware issue? I still have the phone under warranty, but since it is rather risky and expensive to send the phone over to China for repair, I thought I seek help here first. Has anyone sent their phone for repair to China?

My cracked also. the phone is very easy to take apart even if you have never done it. its just 4 screws and some gentle finger work. the new screen slides right into where the old one was. search for p168 replacement screens on google

My phone was doing the same thing and i came here to try and see if i could get help. this is what i did.... I took the battery out of my phone and i hard resetted the phone which means i just let the battery sit ouf the phone for a few minutes. After that i went to my pen calibration and did this about 9 or 10 times and now mine works fine

SOURCE: The screen has frozen, it starts up but the screen fails to respond..

Try calibrating your screen. Please use the stylus to calibrate!
The fastest way is to be on the slide-lock screen & hold the side volume button in the Up position until
"Press volume down key to check" comes up onscreen. This may or may not work on all firmware versions
on the current i9, but works on most. Make sure to hold the button firmly in the Up position. You will first
see the normal volume speaker icon show onscreen and the volume rise, but just keep holding it Up, and
eventually you should see the pop-up box noted earlier. The moment you see that pop up onscreen,
immediately press the side volume button in the down position. A white calibration screen should now
show & you can calibrate the touch screen using the stylus. Try to tap as close to the center of the little
pulsating icons as possible, as this will more accurately calibrate your touch screen. If the calibration
screen didn't come up using that method, then you can get to it from the Main menu screen.
Select "Settings", then select "Pen calibration", & follow the previous instruction.
