Cyberhome 320 wont load discs

My cyberhome 320 dvd player displays "No Disc" when I put any dvd in, even the laser cleaner disc show no disc after I tried to clean it. It will show "Loading" for several minutes and I can hear it spinning, then "No Disc" pops up. What is the problem and is this something that I can do myself?

When I load a disc in the dvd player it reads No Disc.

I have thogoughly checked all connections. In addition I have 2 units - one will load the disc and play the movie however the color only reads pink. The other continues to read No Disc.

I've had this product since 2004. For the last few months it increasingly stalls while loading DVDs. After several minutes, it will display "bad disc." If I turn the player on and off or open and close the disc drawer several times, it sometimes eventually loads/plays the disc. Other times, it will load/play discs immediately.

Don't know whether this old player just doesn't recognize newer discs or what . . .

I can get the home page up on the tv where it says cyberhome. i put disc in and it says loading and then it says bad disc. what does a bad disc mean?

Assuming the player is fine, the 'Bad Disc' display message usually means either a disc which is an incompatible format (for example DVD-ROM) with this player; a disc which is a region that does not match that of the unit; or a defective/damaged disc. Check the discs prior to using them in this player and if they are burned discs, make sure they are a compatible standard format for playback.

This model is not region-free by default unless stated otherwise in the manual.

Cyberhome dvr 1200 doesnt read disc

its lazer is either burned out or too dirty to read the information on the disc try putting a lazer head cleaner through it

Cyberhome 300 not stuck on main blue Cyberhome screen

It may not be able to read the DVD because the laser is dirty. First try to reset the system ( with no disc inserted, open then close the disc tray and hold the stop switch on the UNIT NOT THE REMOTE for six seconds). Then with the disc tray open using a can of "AIR DUSTER" - dry air in an aerosol can, insert the can nozzle into the disc tray cavity and spray away. That may blow off any dust on your laser eye. Try it again and if it still wont work, unplug the unit and remove the six small Philips screws that hold the cover on( it pivots up and off from under a lip in the front panel), plug it back in and open the disc tray exposing the laser and clean the lenses with Isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. Do this GENTLY you don;t want to disturb the laser alignment. Dry with another Q-tip or the Airduster and re-assemble. Note well the unit will be POWERED with the cover off so BE CAREFUL. Just did this with mine and it now works like a charm again.

Cyberhome 1010A won't read disc

Clean the laser with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. That usually works with lasers that don't read. If this doesn't work ( be sure to let the alcohol dry and don't leave streaks) then I would either assume the laser isn't getting enough power or the laser is actually burned out.

It won't read disc. After loading, it reads No Disc

Sounds like a read error fault , possibly a laser malfunction sometimes dirt on the lens will cause this try a good CD cleaner if this is no good I suggest a free engineers estimate at least you can then ask again on here how to fix it . My honnest guess is either a duff laser or software corruption . I have known seating of the tray to cause this also not returning fully back into machine , usually caused by children and alien matter ? shall we say such as choclate or M&MS kids shove stuff everywhere ? bless them lol
hope this helps Regards Vortash

You might try taking the cover off and then VERY GENTLY use a q-tip swab to brush off the laser lens. Sometimes a little dust or dirt is enough to keep it from detecting the disc.

After loading every disc displayes "wrong disc'

are they bootleg dvd's? if not try getting a lense cleaner because wrong disc means it's reading your dvd's as .mov files which only play on quicktime in a computer. if it reads your cleaner as wrong disk too then get yourself a refund cuz it has a motherboard malfunction.
