This is probably due to malware, but here are a few things you can do:

  1. Download and run Hitman Pro. This will run several anti-malware utilities to clean up the machine.
  2. Download and run PerfectDisk. This defragmentation utility is MUCH better than Windows' native program.
  3. Click Start->Run. Type in "msconfig" without the quotes into the box and click OK. Click the Startup tab, and take a look at all the programs that run at your computer's startup. Be VERY careful because you cannot just remove everything. Some things are necessary for your computer to run, so if you don't know what it is then leave it be. Uncheck anything you know you don't want starting such as Instant Messaging programs like AIM or MSN or regular programs such as Adobe or Java. They are notorious for running processes at startup and really aren't necessary. If you want a good list of startup processes then check out http://sysinfo.org/

You have a lot of programs that are running at the same time unnecessarily.
The first thing you should do is to install this
http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html
Run it, it will delete a lot of junk and don't close *** after that. Go to Utilities / Admin Tools / IObit uninstaller and in there identify every program that you don't use (google them if you never heard about them - you don't want to uninstall a driver or something similar) and uninstall it. Next go to Startup Manager and untick every program that is not absolutely required to start (drivers and security). Now run ASC again and reboot - you pc should be fast again.

Computer running very slowly

this is likely due to the problems caused by the damages to system files.

the damages may be caused by the virus or other problems.

I suggest you first run the virus scan and see the result.

If there is no positive results at all, you better send the notebook to the repair shop.

Tell me, for any changes.

Cheers.....................
